Food was uncooked, greasy and cross contaminated, so we sent it back. Drunk owner came over and told us to pay for what we sent back or he would call the police. On my girlfriend's birthday too. I paid for what we ate and left and he left us with an ""f you"". Never again. Never again.

I ordered a steak medium with no seasoning and two vegetables. Steak was well done with a nasty sauce on it. Vegetables were undercooked and cold. The table beside me didn't eat their steaks either. I ate nothing. Cost me $30 for a glass of water. Service was terrible, too.

Going down hill....

I've been coming to this place for years. It seems to be getting worse and worse. They have menu items on their menu that they don't even carry, the food took forever and they weren't even busy. Their so called ""team service"" is a joke as we had no clue who our server really was. We got an introduction and the next time we saw that person it was to pick up the check. We also ordered a bottle of wine that they were out of...After the 4th try we finally got a bottle of wine that we really didn't really care for because they were out of what seemed to be a lot of things. We asked to see a manager and it was ""one"" of our servers. The next person to see what someone in the kitchen that was too busy to come see us. Good luck, we've moved on.

Best Burger Value In Town!

It was another great value last week at Catch-Twenty Three, perhaps the best burger value in town. For just $3.99, we got three nice size Angus beef burgers with fries and all the toppings: The best part about it, it wasn’t served in a basket or wrapped in a sheet of foil or paper. Our meal was served on a real plate with real silverware and in a great casual yet upscale setting.

Great local establishment

Nothing better than having one of the top rated restaurants in Tampa just walking distance from your doorstep. The food is always fresh and the menu is very creative. The macadamia encrusted Sea Bass is the best. Highly recommend this place for a personal dining event or to take clients. Better still visit them on Mondays for the $3 Burger night with the family,

Food was good, Service was TERRIBLE

Is there anything that can ruin a good meal more than bad service? It was pretty empty when my happy hour group started to arrive. The first round of drinks came fairly quickly, but bread was dumped at our table with no silverware, plates, or napkins. We were not checked on for quite a while. We started to walk to the bar to get drink refills, because otherwise, it took 15 minutes after requesting one. The second group that came in to meet us received their food order before bread or utensils came out. The manager didn't seem to mind that we were disappointed.

Good? Great? Amazing?

We started off with a really tasty pineapple cosmo from the bar before sitting in our big booth. We took the servers recommendation by sharing the lobster escargot which was absolutely fantastic! We were most impressed with the extensive wine list they had to offer. The citrus vinaigrette homemade dressing fit very well for their concept. The entree was very flavorful. I had the saute grouper with some really good green beans and my wife had as she described the freshest piece of seabass she has ever eaten. The homemade chocolate mousse pie was our choice after our server offered a glass of cold milk with it. We've never had anyone offer us milk with just goes hand in hand. Overall we enjoyed our first time at Catch 23 and will be going back very soon.

Nice Experience

We dined with a group of 6 and had an enjoyable time. The restaurant was on a short wait so had a drink at the bar. The service was friendly and quick the food was tasty but not overly done with too much flair, just perfect for a light meal. Not much ambience, but not boring either. Overall good food for the price and a good experience.

Quite a Catch!

I have entertained family and friends at Catch 23 on many an occassion and never been disaappointed. Clean and pleasant surroundings with a genuinely friendly staff. Menu offers quite a variety and food is always fresh and delicious. Best of all are their specials, including the Monday night burger and Thursday steak! Don't take my word for it, check it out and ENJOY!

Just Like Bonefish

If you've been to one, you've been to the other. Although the calamari appetizer was the best I ever had... the crab-stuffed tempura shrimp was lacking. We made reservations and waited 30-45 minutes after we arrived. It wasn't too bad due to the great bar. The local fish was good. But we finished our appetizers before we ever got our silverware!!! The hostess triple sat our waitress. It was sad. All in all, it was nice, and I will take my family when they visit and someone else is paying the exspensive tab!
