I was referred to this business by a friend, chiefly to get a kitchen pipe cleared. I was made to wait a day, with my kitchen sink out of commission, before they would come out to deal with it. The morning of our appointment, "Mandy", who is now running the show, calls with one hour's notice and tells me they don't work when it's raining, and if I insist they keep their appointment, they'll demand to be paid whether or not they get the clog cleared. She is abrasive and obnoxious. She then tells me I can find another plumber and hangs up the phone on me. I reach Robert B. Alpaugh, her father, who their site says is the company owner, at home, and he tells me he's heard similar complaints about Mandy before, which is why he's no longer involved with his company.
This is not a reputable business, as it once may have been. Do not waste your time on this company.

We live in Seminole Heights in Tampa and our drainage finally gave way. Probably about time after 90+ years. Anyway, we called Alpaugh Plumbing and they gave us a free quote on the same day of asking. They explained the work perfectly and gave us an honest quote. No BSing involved. We prefer to use local vendors and our choice to use Alpaugh was wise. They definitely used their local experience of working on homes from the 1920's. The guys showed up on time and completed the job within the explained timeframe. Needless to say, the work crew went above and beyond and now Alpaugh is our go-to plumber of choice. Brilliant experience for us.

Since moving to the area 6 months ago, I haven't needed any plumbing work but I recently had some toilet issues. My neighbor recommended Alpaugh Plumbing, they have been using them for over 20 years and never had a bad experience.
I called mid Monday morning and the lady who answered the phone was very polite, took all my information, quoted me the rates and scheduled the call for later in the day. The lady called me, as promised, to let me know the plumber was on the way. He arrived within 15 mins, knew exactly what the call was for and went to work. He replaced the worn out parts in my toilet and since he finished that quickly I asked him to check all my toilets. Two out of my three needed repairing, he completed the work, explained to me what he did and presented the bill.
I was very pleased with the whole procedure, the office was very nice, explained what was going to happen, the plumber arrived when expected, performed the work quickly and was very clean and polite. The best part was that the bill was extremely reasonable and there were NO extra charges.
Hopefully, I won't need any plumbing repairs anytime soon but if I do I will definitely call Alpaugh Plumbing again!!!

What a joke! They arrive 90 minutes late and have the nerve to charge you for ""time and travel"".
Mr Alpaugh is more interested in taking your money than taking care of repeat customers.
I had an 8:30am appointment. At 8:40 they called saying they were late and would be there within the hour. I call at 9:30 and they say they are ""around the corner"" and on their way. They finally show up at 10:00. They obviously do not respect the fact that some of us have jobs and are expected to be there when we say we will be there. Instead, I was left sitting around my house...waiting. Don't LIE to me and say you will be there within the hour when I have another 80 minutes of waiting to do.
