I bought a large foreclosure and entrusted Charles Macio owner of Marman Design and Construction. Biggest mistake I have ever made. Charles Macio is not a licensed contractor. He has the show room and contract listing a fake license number to appear legit. He even states he is licensed and insured on his website. Do not fall for it. You can look up a license number by name or by the number. He doesn't have one. Legit contractors license numbers start with CGC, while his made up license start with GCG. Mind you, it is illegal to hire an unlicensed contractor. He does terrible work. Literally everything he touched was not done right. Even simple things as removing tile he could not do right. There were huge potholes and thinset left throughout. He put in uneven tiles. Used the wrong grout throughout. Bought the cheapest materials to do the job to save himself money. Did not get a permit for anything because he couldn't as he is unlicensed. Did not do anything to code. Did not use licensed plumber or electrician. Mucked around with my fireplace and cut the wrong pipes endangering my whole family and my house. Lied a lot and denied a lot. Covered up a lot. I wish he would have just ran away with my money rather than doing anything, at least then I wouldn't have to re do everything and wonder what he has done behind walls I no longer have money to redo. I could go on and on, in fact there is a list many pages long of things done improperly and dangerously. More subpar work have been revealed since hiring a real contractor. For example, he only put primer on kitchen cabinets he was supposed to finish and said it was done. He did a shower steam room and did not put up a moisture guard. Also did not tile the ceiling of the shower. On and on.The point is, look into this guy really well and do not give him your money and most importantly do not let him touch your property. Even if you do not care about a license, he has no clue what he's doing

Bath and Kitchen Gallery did work in the kitchen, major remodeling in the master bathroom, work in two other bathrooms, and work in 13 other rooms in the house. Within months, several rooms had failures. Within two years, the failures expanded to over five rooms in the house. Within three years, failures and defects in workmanship have been found in every room of the house. We discovered that they failed to obtain building permits (at least three permits were required for the scope of the work) so their work was never reviewed by the Temple Terrace Building Inspector. We believe that, had the work been inspected, most of the major construction defects would have been caught. We have spent more than $42,000 in repairs and remodeling because of Bath and Kitchen Gallery's poor workmanship, and that's only the beginning of the money we will have to pay out to fix all the problems. It appears that Bath and Kitchen Gallery cut many corners and didn't properly supervise the job. It makes me wonder that if they were willing to cut so many corners on a project that cost over $260,000, and violate building code, what will they do to your house? It took months and months of nagging to even get the owner of Bath and Kitchen Gallery to come to the house to see the failures. We are most likely headed to court and have spent thousands of dollars to date in attorney's fees, construction expert witnesses, and consulting fees. I would strongly recommend you do not use Bath and Kitchen Gallery! I also recommend you check online as they operate another company under the same contractor license number.
Great Work and Reasonable Prices!
Dear Rhett,We wanted to thank you for the hard work you and your staff did to make our new wood floors absolutely beautiful. Of all the changes we made to our home recently, our favorite is the wood flooring. As you are well aware, we had a few "bumps in the road" during this project. We appreciated that you always returned our calls promptly, that your staff was committed to making everything right and how dedicated you all were to giving us a wonderful, finished product. It was a pleasure to get to know all of you and we would definitely use MHS for any future projects in our home. We would also recommend MHS to everyone. Thanks again!Chuck and Carolyn
I am LOVING my bathroom! Thanks Rhett!
I would like to express how much I appreciated the way Rhett took care of me. First he was always asking me if things were looking okay. Then when he had an idea, he would ask, "what do you think about that?" I enjoyed having him and his helpers very much. I am very proud my two new bathrooms. People that have seen them before and then after can't believe how much better they look. Thank you so much Rhett.
We contracted with Rhett to update our three bathrooms. He was very easy to work with, offered great design ideas that were functional and economical and delivered the finished product on time and above our expectations. We enjoyed working with him and his team so much that we contracted with him to completely update our beach condo as well and again he exceeded our expectations. We’re fortunate to have found such a talented, trust worthy contractor that truly cares about doing a great job.
