I was unable to attend my July prenatal appointment. I called on 08-17-2017 to make an appointment for Monday 08-21-2017 at 3:15pm. The office manager Mr. Hunter called me an hour later stating he was releasing me as a patient because of noncompliance. He continued to say I missed one month so they will not be able to remain my physician. I am 6 months pregnant and inquired why he would stress a women in my condition in that manner. He stated he would give me a verbal warning this time. I advised a verbal warning should have initially been given because I was unaware of there policy due to the fact that it is not posted around there office, and furthermore... I was never provided a form of the policy to sign off on. He became upset and decided to discharge me as a patient for a second time. Now I am almost 7 months pregnant and in dire need of a physician for my unborn child. To conclude this story I have been a loyal client to this practice since 2010 with a total of 4 pregnancies. So if it could happen to me it can happen to anyone.

I love this doctor, she takes her time and listens to you and you never feel rushed. I have been a patient of hers for over 10 years and will never switch. She is very professional and never makes you feel rushed. I would highly recommend her.
Horrible and uncaring. Has a complete disregard for patients and worst of all for their unborn babies. His front office and worst of all he HIMSELF is COMPLETELY unprofessional and rude. Do NOT go here.
Please if you care about your family .. Do not go to this place!!! Reason why I am asking not to go to them1. They are Neva on time, they will give you appointment but they will make ya wait atleast 2hrs even with an appointment, we tried telling them but they don't care2. Don't know how they are in business because, when they are doing some kind of medical procedure they are not supposed to look at their phone and they are not supposed to chit chat n laugh with their coworkers! That simply show how careless and lazy they are!!!!3. When ya ask them to do paper work about delivery hospital, you will have to follow up with them every day they because they will totally miss it and mess it up.4. Unprofessional, uncleany, unruly people, bad wash rooms5. Every time we come here, it has become customery to see patients fight with the staff and staff doesn't give a c about it.6. Giving 1 star is also not worth it but yp don't let me leave it empty.
Have been a patient for 10 +yrs. Dr. Gitomer is the best and staff are very friendly and professional. Dr. Gitomer takes the time to discuss any issues and never rushes you. Waiting times have improved and usually less than 15 mins. Dr. Gitomer is extremely warm and attentive. Would not go anywhere else.
RIVERVIEW OFFICE (Dr. Veiga): If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is absolutely horrible. They steal your money by not telling you what they can and cannot do when you call to make the appointment. They bring you in and then tell you that they don't do certain things/procedures and you need to go elsewhere after you've already paid your copay. Robbery!! The office manager was a horrible horrible hag of a disrespectful woman. She was rude and nasty and had no empathy for our infertility concerns whatsoever. If you're looking for support through your pregnancy, don't go here. You'll sit on hold for literally an hour every single time you call and they never return messages. They NEVER EVER call you back after a test/procedure or notify you of test results. They give you nothing after your visit to summarize what was discussed/treated/done, etc. the woman at the front desk are clueless and rude. And they act like taking your blood pressure is an inconvenience and telling you what your blood pressure is, annoys them. I'm a registered nurse and this is NOT how you treat patients no matter what the situation they are in. I will never ever go back and I will never ever recommend them to any woman. And if I come across anyone looking for an OBGYN in the Tampa area I'll be sure to steer them clear away from this group. They are awful, awful people.
I went to this office after the doctor delivered my grandson. It is not professional at all. The staff, in spite of being given all my insurance information over the phone when I made the appointment, still had not verified it when I arrived. I waited 3 hours past my appointment. If the doctor herself had not opened the window to see the large amount of patients still waiting (standing room only by this point) and spoken to me, I would probably still be waiting. They called me up to the window then to "collect my copay". I told them I don't have a copay for a pap. They argued with me and said my insurance told them. I said no they didn't because I spoke to them BEFORE I made the appointment. Bottom line, I had to pay in order to be seen. I came home, called insurance and they said I was correct and according to their computer records, no one from that office had contacted them that day or any other day. I had the insurance call them and tell them they were wrong. Then I called to get a refund. It took a month to get my money back. The doctor's 'husband' is the manager who handles the finances. He only comes into the office sporadically. So even with speaking directly with him twice, and being told he was writing the check and it would be waiting for me to pick up, I arrived and still had to wait for my check to be written. Oh! And as for my visit: I was taken back and the girl set up the room. She asked questions that were beyond her comprehension and managed to apparently set the wrong instruments up. When the doctor came in, she became upset and just reset everything up herself. In short, the doctor appears friendly but, she hires non professional, non educated (must barely have passing grades) and my guess, relatives to run her practice. And they are....into the dirt.
This review is for the Riverview office. I had a procedure done called a hysterosonography. I failed to do my homework re: this procedure, which was my first mistake. I relied on the M.D. when I asked if I could tolerate the procedure with just Tylenol on board and the M.D. said "yes". First, this procedure is tolerated well by women who have had children. But if you have never been pregnant then this procedure will be excruciatingly painful. So much so, that it is not unusual for the person to nearly pass out on the table due to the pain, which , of course, was my experience. My doctor either was inexperienced in doing this procedure on someone who had never had children or she knew the potential for my pain, yet still told me Tylenol will suffice.??? Either way, I have been traumatized. I did ask for part of my bill to be taken care of, but was told they don't do that. I am writing this to let other women know that if this OB/Gyn office,or any other office, want to do the procedure on a woman who has never been pregnant, than it shouldn't be done with anything less than conscious sedation. Tylenol will not suffice.
i have to rate 1 star for some important reasons. This 1 star does not speak to their competence or professionalism, but on a scale of 1 - 5 how much I'd be likely to recommend them and the answer is, I don't. -- I have impeccable insurance and their costs, even without insurance are really pretty good for pregnant women. $3500 not including the hospital fees. Great. However, before they see you, you must sign a binding arbitration agreement. Basically if they screw up, you can't sue them and the ball is entirely in their court. They decide what you would deserve for their mistake. -- I decided to not go after seeing the binding agreement. The staff was courteous and patient but I can't give stars for that because it's what one should expect fro someone doing their jobs. -- Another red flag is the fact that (and this was explained to me upfront) you never see one main doctor.... they pass you around like a gang bang and the doctor you may see initially may not be the same one who delivers your baby. -- They dont' use Tampa General hospital but 1 of 3 Saint Joseph's women's hospitals. That was another negative for us. --- No offense but I wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole.
Avoid this Place. They juz want the insurance money. nothing else
