This was my first experience with crochet braids. I got the Senegalese twists installed. They are so gorgeous. Marvette did a wonderful job. The atmosphere was clean and cozy. It was done quickly. But most importantly, I feel so glamorous. Highly recommended!
My experience was horrible, they were short and rude. On top of being short and rude I had to wash my own hair, they had no shampoo good thing a customer there had some. They did not take the time out to properly blow dry my hair. The whole time braiding my hair the lady complained and said it was too thick. My hair looked months old after no type of gel or products were used. When I asked about the use of gel she slapped the gel on my head to were it was soaking wet with gel. I would never go back.
This hair shop is absolutely amazing. I got kinky twist today and the results are astonishing. I'm very pleased with the professionalism of the owner and staff. I recommend everyone & anyone who wants to get braids/twists/micro braids ect... to go to Akweeba African Hair. You'll leave a very satisfied customer. This place and ppl are FANTASTIC! Kenyatta
Barbershop is worth it. Haven’t had a bad cut or trim yet!
been coming here for years. service and prices are great, braids are always perfect! anyone looking for braids, i highly recommend this shop!!
VERY COSTLY MISTAKE! I decided to give this salon a try based on the good ratings. I made an appointment with the owner for SMALL BOX BRAIDS, and arrived as scheduled. I ended up waiting approximately 30 minutes for another lady to arrive. Upon her arrival, she began working on my hair without even introducing herself. I showed her a picture of the size I wanted. Shortly after starting on my hair, she left to go to the store to get a bottle of water because her back was hurting. That took about another 10-15 minutes. I paid the $200 that I was charged and even tipped the lady. On day 5, I lost a braid from the back. I then inspected my hair all over and noticed the back braids were loose and far larger than I requested. I notified the owner, who offered to fix my hair. With that being my only day off, and having a prior engagement, I was unable to make it. She offered me a discount for the next visit. It's now day 11. I have lost 5 braids. I am about ready to cut them all out. $200 is a lot to pay for a shabby job! I appreciate the offer to fix my hair, but she was aware that I work 6 days a week. I should NOT have to drive from Brandon to fix anything that should have been done right the first time. I paid $200 for a $40 back porch style! As a business owner myself, I would make my customer happy, not inconvenience them. A partial refund would have been nice! I hope the $200 + tip blessed them both. I'll take a loss for this one, but I will not be going back. I wish I could post pics of this expensive mess! Lesson learned! On a positive note, she has a beautiful, talented daughter who kept me entertained with her performnces!
The sisters were very professional and honest. They were not trying to get a fees bucks but instead gave advise to what will suit your hair type best. My hair came out looking so beautiful.
My hair was excellent. I felt very uncomfortable due to the shop was DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. Also, the cleaning guy was strange, staring and talking to himself. The worker was talking very loud in their language.
Loving You Skin & Hair provides quality service, products and care. I have been a client for almost a year, and I am pleased with my experience! I highly recommend using their services and products!
I had a bittersweet experience with this shop. Because although my braids turned out amazing, and the owner was so nice and courteous to me, the waiting process was long. When I got there, there were other two ladies before me. But really it was my bad judgement.. I'll make sure to be on appointment next time.
