Long story shortHome Depot hired them to delivery my purchase of fridge and dishwasher. They were prompt to get here on time. Communication was horrible. These were the most unprofessional men I have ever met. They parked in the road blocking it. They had a very long driveway to back up into for delivery. The driver was wearing flip flops and socks. He dropped a huge box from the back of their truck to the road without using a lift gate. (Unsure if that was my new fridge or not).He refused to install due to my current appliances in place. I asked him to hold ne minute because I paid for installation and I would get my phone to call Home Depot. Within 5 minutes He reloaded his truck & took off. After speaking with Ralph's representative, then calling Home Depot, I reviewed the Google reviews for this company and to my dismay I am not the only customer who was treated with unprofessional customer service and who also got had their appliances show up and then to be taken right back due to the Delivery Drivers poor actions. Way to go Ralph's you really should train your drivers to be professional and respectful with empathy and patience dealing with public and items like stoves, fridge and appliances we cannot live without.
I contacted Ray at Fam4You , who was recommended to me approx. 2 1/2 weeks before our scheduled move to get a quote. He (or someone from his organization) sent me an inventory form to fill out and send back. I filled it out and sent it back, receiving a response that it sounded like 2 moves in 1- they would send 4 people to multitask on both the POD and truck and to estimate $100.00/hour. In a separate email they said Ray would come out to inspect the site after the POD was delivered. I kept in contact (by text or email) over the next 2 weeks and verified that Ray would come out on Fri, July 25th after the POD was delivered. When he had not shown up or called by 7:00pm Friday I tried calling them in a panic since our move was supposed to be first thing Monday morning. Diana Garcia from their office called me back and assured me that everything was fine and although she did not know why Ray had not called or came out she said she could come out Saturday morning to inspect and verify my inventory was accurate. She came at 9:00am Saturday (July 26th) and verified that everything was ok and we were very organized and appeared ready for them on Monday. She also verified that they would send 4 men at $100.00 (as per the original email quote) but thought we only needed a 16' truck instead of 24'. I expressed my concern about a Thomasville wood 4 piece wall unit my Mom has and how we would protect it in the POD since we had no extra blankets, etc. She said they have tons of blankets and they would shrink wrap blankets to all the furniture, they always did that. I reminded her that these items were going into the POD and she said no problem, they would just get their blankets back when they unloaded the POD in a few months. Everything seemed good until Ray showed up on Monday morning- with 3 men- NOT 4, and 1/2 dozen blankets for the entire move. When I told him what Diana said and they needed blankets for the POD he said it would be fine that they did this all the time and just let them do their job. They loaded the POD with no blankets or protection on any furniture except sheets of cardboard I provided to partially cushion the wood on the wall unit, tables, chairs, chests, etc. Upon inspection while they were loading and after they left- most items were grossly unprotected. Because of the way they just shoved things together there was already a large scratch on the one wall unit piece I could see. I spent over 5 hours trying to re-wrap and cushion items I could access that were wood next to wood, and re-arrange items because nothing was secured from shifting when the POD is moved. If I could have delayed the POD pickup I would have paid someone to come out and repack it the way it should have been done by them.Because they did not have the proper equipment or manpower it took them over 7 hours to pack the POD and truck and unload the truck. They charged me $90.00/hr for 3 men instead of the quoted $100.00/hr for 4 men. Then they added another $100.00 to cover cost of Budget truck they rented and fuel, which was confusing because they say "All of our quotes include, Box truck, insurance, gas, mileage, labor, tools , dollies, protective shrink wrap, hand trucks, furniture pads, free wardrobe boxes(if requested) etc."I have moved many times, both locally and state to state and they were the most unprepared, unprofessional "movers" I have ever dealt with.
I work night shift requested at Home Depot early delivery. Original delivery date changed the night before because appliance wasn't available. Delivery reschedule the following week thru LG 1-4:30, which is in the middle of the night for a 'night shift' person. Call Ralph's to explain this, told by Angela 'Home Depot lies all the time and let's customer request time frames.' 'We set the schedules!' And she hung up! Called Home Depot manager who attempted to help me out and was told by 'Ralph himself' that if I don't accept delivery time my order will be cancelled!! Well, I'm sure LG will be happy to hear a delivery guy can cost them a purchase! I'm sure Home Depot will be thrilled too, but they were stupid enough to allow a delivery guy that type of power! Please don't deal with this ignorant and obnoxious company. If I could give no star I surely would!!
I purchased $6100 worth of appliances from Home Depot. Ralph's transport co was contracted to do the delivery and installation. When the tech installed the microwave he drilled right through the 120 line. The tech never mentioned anything and left once he finished. I called two electricians, and an inspector to my home to find out the cause for this. It was then the inspector noticed the appliances were new and removed the microwave from the wall to find the burnt screw. The breaker also tripped and had to be replaced. I immediately called Home Depot to rectify this situation. I was told Ralph's transport was responsible and that their insurance company would be calling within 24 to 48 hours and would be sending an adjuster to my home. 5 days later I still did not receive a call so I took it upon myself to call their main office. A women answered the phone and had no clue what was going on. Another woman could be heard in the background saying "just tell her we're gone for the day" after this encounter I told my repair man to go ahead and fix the problem as I could not be without a stove much longer and it was a fire hazard as is. I called again to let them know I repaired the line and was told again I would be getting a call. I finally called Home Depot manager and told her they have still yet to call and She clearly cracked the whip because I received a call at work yesterday from Aron . He told me it was no problem and they were clearly at fault and I would get reimbursed for the repair by the end of the week as well as money spent on eating out due to this install going wrong. Two hours later I received a harassing phone call from the driver (installer) saying he was given my number and told to call me and that he had to pay for this out of pocket because I claimed the installed it wrong. I told him he had no right to be calling me and that I would like his manager to call me.
Very Professional and Polite! Home Depot is horrible, won't be ordering nothing through them again! But Ralph's is fabulous! Defiantly would recommend for service AND delivery!
The worst company I have ever dealt with. Was supposed to get a washer and dryer on the 7th of December, they called and changed it to today, December 16th. Well I was told it was delivered and signed for...not by me, I haven't seen or head from the delivery people. Called home depot and ralphs transfer just to find out that it's still on the truck and we will have it next week cause the drivers aren't answering their phones. yea I don't think so. Home depot needs to fire this company, their rating with the BBC is D-. Pathetic, I hope your company goes down the drain and you all get to experience the karma you deserve for being assholes!
On time very polite and got straight to it didnt take the 30 min and then they came at 11:00 pm at night
They delivered my new washer, rudeness to answer any questions I had. Refused to hook up my new dryer, refused to leave my new dryer.Said it would be rescheduled with no extra charges. When I told them I only wash with cold water and why was this machine turned to cold now pouring out hot water? He replied this is florida cold water is hot in the pipes. It will change. Then he said something in another language, the 2 men walked off laughing got in their truck and left. One kept looking at me and would say things in another language. The 2 men would then laugh as if there was something funny about me. As a woman being alone in the house at that time these 2 men made me extremely nervous. After I gave a bad report on a phone survey. The Ralph's Co. called wanting me to change my report. That's when I found out the 2 delivery men lied to me about no future charges, rescheduling and they should have left my new dryer! So I guess the joke was on me after all! Now where's my dryer? Bonnie.
I had my washer, dryer, and pedestals delivered today and the service was great. They arrived within the 30 minutes I received my call that they were coming and the two men who delivered my items were great. Very nice, friendly and professional. Answered all my questions I had. Thank you so much
I would give this place a 0 star rating if I could. Terrible experience. I went around and around with this company for two weeks trying to get something installed with one problem after another. The woman in the office that schedules the appointments is very rude!!! I would not recommend this company to anyone EVER!!!!!!!
