1. When you read "luxury living" on the website, take it with a LARGE grain of salt. They have certain amenities advertised that are non existent (the bark park, volleyball courts, grills, etc). The gates into the complex are always broken and left open. The outside of the buildings are disgustingly dirty and trees are untrimmed and touching the sidewalk. And the "utilities" that are included are only trash and cable. I don't know where all these people who have left reviews saying "all utilities included" are living, but it certainly isn't here! 2. The pond smells like a sewer. I'm pretty sure the sprinkler system is connected to this pond, because even the sprinklers small like garbage. It will splash on your car and come through your vents. Though I guess it makes sense, because the grounds are always littered with trash. 3. I have had things stolen form my locked car and straight from my door step. 4. Yes, I knew living next the airport would be loud. What I was not told, was that i'd have to listen to jet engines literally every hour of every day.5. This "perfect location" comes with a lot of traffic. People park where they shouldn't. You are surrounded by Hillsborough ave, which is literally one of the worst, most high traffic streets in Tampa, and Veterans expressway and 275. You can hear cars racing at all hours of the night and getting out of the complex in the morning is a chore.6. The BIGGEST complaint is the unprofessionalism of the office staff. They refuse to acknowledge any problem you bring to them, no matter how small. I have had constant issues with paying rent since moving in. They will tell you to pay through the website, but IF there website is working that day, it refuses to process the transaction. If you give them a money order, even if you hand it directly to a person, it will "go missing". The amount of money I have given to this complex in just 6 months is probably enough to cover my 13 month lease.
Best company to rent from. They have gone above and beyond for us. We are a technology company and have been renting from them for 5 years. Rochelle was Awesome!
I live in a home that was recently purchased by this company. It is a tri-story home with a level that falls below the sewer line. I reported an issue with raw sewage in my toilet 1/25/17 ( fecal matter) . Today I get a call from a plumbing company to schedule service. Obviously, I want same day service as I have been waiting for two days. There is a history of this particular toilet imploding on the doors, carpet, drywall etc. on two other occasions. This is hazardous waste that can cause serious illness. I am also trying to be proactive as I have experienced this before and I know how expensive it has been to replace all of the components in the bathroom previously. I requested an appointment at 4pm today. It was 11am at the time of the call. A Representative of the plumbing company tells me that "Home Encounter won't want to pay after hours fees, the appointment will need to be earlier today or tomorrow" I explain the history and let her know I will contact the company directly. I attempted to call and leave a message with no response. I had to email my Agent Yolanda to get a response. I explain the situation to her, she then has someone to call me that clearly could not make a decision. I AGAIN explain the same situation to him and let him know that the signs of the toilet imploding are taking place. He responds telling me to "take precautions so the toilet won't overflow." He requested that I wait until Saturday so they can save a few dollars. I AGAIN reiterate that if the sewage overflows as it has in the past, it would be costs of much more than an after hours plumber.AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
