Terrible customer service. They lost my dry cleaning in August. In September I completed their claim form after what I was told had to be 30 days. It's been several more weeks. I've now called 7 times and have been told the owner will call me back. No one ever has.
They damaged my cashmere topcoat. I was told it was due to a coat construction issue (separation of fusible facings – which means nothing to me), so the White Swan employees did acknowledged the damage occured in their store. The fact is the coat was cleaned before by another Dry Cleaner with no problem, I took it to White Swan and now it's damaged. No one, including the owner, was willing to accept any responsibility. Very disappointing for a repeat White Swan customer.
Don't trust them. I left them a leather jacket and shear curtains to clean. The jacket was no better than when I left it with them. It obviously wasn't cleaned. They said nothing and noted nothing when I picked the curtains up but when I unbundled one it was not clean. Slick Jim the owner will talk you to death but won't make it right. For my daughter's wedding we rented cabins for three days. Upon picking my mother of the bride dress up from White Swan cleaners they started to just give it to me to take and I said I had better try it on as the sign says once you leave they are not responsible. The alternations lady said, it's ok and repeated it over and over as I stood in my dress that was dragging on the front and wayyyy too short in the back. I was so sad! The lady said she was sorry for what she did and sat down at her machine. i was told to come back the next morning and Anna, a diff lady, would see what she could do. When i walked out she looked at the dress in awe, 'what did she do"? and then proceeded to tell me that she could not fix the back but could shorten the front. sigh..wear shorter healed shoes. The great part is i was charged by the owner for THEM FIXING THEIR HUGEEEEEEEE MISTAKE.My sister and I were so shocked, hurt and I was in tears as not only did I miss 1 1/2 days with my bride daughter and family I now had a too short dress and a new bill on top of that! I told the owner that the alternations lady said, 'she just cut straight across' and asked him if that is how they alter dresses? she never ONCE measured the side or back even after i questioned her. She put two pins in the front. he told me now that they don't and said the dress possibly may have had a train in the back! well, everyone I speak to says the dress would then have been longer in the back, not shorter. I signed the charge slip refuse as I cannot believe he could even think of charging me again for NOT fixing what they RuiNED!!!!!!! I would please be VERY careful who you see at this business, Anna was nice and good at what she does. It may have just been a bad day for the other lady, but one bad day ruined others. A owner who is non caring has too much and does not have care in his heart to worry about others feelings or time. Everyone I talk with is amazed and sadly word of mouth and internet postings are the only way I can let people know to please be careful. I never want anyone else to miss time with their child and have the one responsible not care. Luckily i deal with hundreds of people each day to warn and it is a surprise how many wish they had known where i was taking the dress as they have had horrible experiences there. it is just so big the owner does not care about one person as he knows there are so many more to keep him financially secure.
