Went to Kerry Forest location. Had an appointment, but waited over 30 min for service to begin. Pedi technician cut my toe with nail clippers and mani technician trimmed a cuticle too much- it bled. Will not be returning.
They have no desire of taking care of their customers. I used to recommend this place, but it is clear they can not stick to the schedules in which they setup for their clients. After arriving 30 min. prior to my scheduled appointment, I was told it would be an hour after my scheduled appointment before I could get into the chair. As the conversation went on, I agreed to leave and shop around and the stylist by the name of Italia said she would call me when she was finished with a Client that was currently in her chair. Of course, this did not make sense to me, but I agreed to it and I left to kill some time. After two hours, I decided to head back to the shop and I never received a call, but I knew tge shopped closed at 6pm. Upon my entry into the shop, I noticed the same client was still in the stylist chair and her hair looked no where close to be finished. To make things worst, the hairstylist was not in the shop and the client in her chair ended up calling the stylist to let her know that I had returned. I am not sure if this is the norm for service in Tallahassee or not, but I will gladly spend my money and time at a shop which appreciates their customers. Therefore, I sent a text requesting for my appointment to be cancelled. There was a lot more to share, but it is not worth anymore of my time. Just beware...
For the last 2 years, I have wanted to install sisterlocks in my hair. And naturally U seems to be the only salon in Tallahassee which provides that service. However, each time I make contact to get information, they act like I am begging them something.First off they don't have a price list. So I suppose they charge you by how much money you seem to earn. Even though, I called the salon three different times they refused to even provide me with a ballpark figure.I took it upon myself to go to the salon to ask questions in person. I was in the salon for 10 minutes just looking about and 2 different workers walk by me without any acknowledgement whatsoever. So, I decided to take the initiative to flag down one of them and explained I wanted some information about their sisterlocks service. The first worker left to get one of their sisterlocks trainee. Upon arrival, the sisterlocks trainee stayed at one corner of the salon and snarled/shouted at me from about 8 ft away "You must be here to schedule a consultation." At this time, I honestly felt like I was just a nuisance to these hairdressers. Before I could respond, she proceeded to tell me how much is a consultation ($30) and which website I should visit to get information. As she was about to leave in a puff, I hastily asked for the cost of the installation. No dice, she cannot tell me until during the consultation. So I asked why is it that other consultants in other cities can quote a price in terms of length but she is unable to. I said this in the softest voice possible because by this time I simply feared that she would throw me out of the salon. She reluctantly said they usually charged $675 for up to 4 inches of hair and more if longer. (N.B. Installation fee is separate from consultation charges.) But she maintained she cannot be certain of the price until during consultation.I carried out a survey on one very popular (3000 members strong) sisterlocks forum, and the concensus is that $705 for my (3 inches) hair is definitely steep in comparison to other cities.Against my better judgement and feeling like they believe that I am definitely begging them something for free, I called to schedule a consultation about a week later. (See, I am a very determined woman). During this phone call, I was told that I must pay for the consultation service right now or they wont be able to schedule the appointment. Otherwise, come as a walk-in but their availability wont be guaranteed. Moreover, the day (Saturday) that I want to consult with them is not a day for walk-ins.At this time, I reflect back to my visit there and recognize that there were a number of clients at different stages of their service who seemed detached, dejected, bored and no one was attending to them.I cannot with good conscience give my very HARD EARNED money to people who cannot treat me with some semblance of decency.In conclusion, I have to take my heart and mind off sisterlocks until I move out of Tallahassee.
Everytime I went to this salon I was over charged. I was told one price but I was charged more every single time the style I wanted was finished. The owner is nice but the rest of the staff is rude and will only talk to you if you are their client. They gossip about people in community and the city we live in is not that big. This is extremely unprofessional. My stylist told me I had a small bald spot. I believe it was a result of her using a cheap dandruff shampoo and conditioner on my hair for a year. When I took out the style she gave me, the result was a bald spot the size of a half dollar. For a year I told my stylist that the products burned and gave me headaches but she insisted that it was because the product worked. I see they like to read reviews on line and laugh about them in the shop so I hope they find this one funny! BEWARE!
Michele does a wonderful job on my nails I love them. People are always asking where I get my nails done. I would never go any where else for my nails or a pedicure. all of the staff are friendly and courteous. My kind of place! Keep up the great work!
Terrible Service and no patience for little kids, you ask for a specific style and can not deliver, plus the attitude
I bought a coupon from Groupon June 10, 2015 for Cut To A T for a mani-pedi. I have been calling since then to make an appointment! Voicemail has been full everyday! No other number available. Not near my house so I don't want to make a trip there just to make an appointment and then another trip for the service. Requested a refund from Groupon and they are investigating. This is very POOR business dealings! First problem with ordering from Groupon!
My family and I started going here for the last 3 years. We specifically came to get hair cuts by Sean. Recently they have changed employees and they are horrible!!!!! The 2 younger black lady's recently cut my fiancé and step sons hair and I don't understand how they have their cosmology license. The one lady asked, "What kind of hair style do you want," and my fiancé relied, "A Caesar." The hair dresser then said. "Do you mean a fade?" What is a fade!!! Needless to say we went home and buzzed it all off with the clippers. The hairs were cut soooo uneven and choppy, I couldn't bare it. We will never go back to this location
