Disorganized and behind schedule

I used this company because they were the sign company designated by the landlord of the brand-new strip mall where my business is located. After I signed the lease, I called them to order the roadside marquee sign. No call back. Funny. Called again. And again. Five calls later, I finally got a call back. After e-mailing and calling multiple times, it took four months before the sign was ever installed.

Then it was time to order the overhead lighted sign for the building front. I called. Emailed. Called. Emailed. Finally, after at least five tries, I got a response. I emailed a PDF of the logo and text I wanted and got an estimate back for a sign with 18" letters and a 24" logo (per the restrictive covenants for the shopping plaza). Put my initial money down. Waited. Waited. Waited. Three months later, the sign was finally delivered. (I understand, the logo and letters had to be custom fabricated, but THREE MONTHS?) It was half installed. The installation guys disappeared for a week or so. Then the installation was finished...

AND, the letters were 24". Everyone who walked in the door commented on how LOUD the sign was and how it STOOD OUT from all the other businesses in the plaza. I called the owner of Signs Unlimited and it took him three weeks to come out and look. He had to concede that the job was not according to drawing or estimate. FOUR MONTHS later, and seven months after the sign was paid for, the correct sign was finally installed. It looked great, by the way. UNTIL...

After the sign had been in place for less than three months, the light in one of the letters went out. That was six weeks ago. I called. No response. I emailed. Twice. Today, I called again. The fellow who answered the phone said that he would "give the installation guy your phone number and he should probably call you or come by or something."

In short, if you want your sign done incorrectly, behind schedule, and with no follow-through on warranty issues, Signs Unlimited should be your choice!
