Leslie's Swimming Pool Supplies

I took a water sample to Leslies to test and they indicated that the chemistry was sufficiently out of whack to add a quart of acid to the pool. This required buying extra chemicals and would have seriously lowered the Ph of the pool. I took a duplicate sample to a competitor and they came up with seriously different results (no acid required). I then took another sample to Leslies 36 hours later and the results were within nearly identical to the competitor results for the first test. Had I added the required amount of acid, I would have run the risk of injuring my baby when she went swimming. I went to the manager of the store (he performed the third test which agreed with the competitor) and he made no effort to make things right. He said "chemistry changes every day" and bid me goodbye..The total alkalinity went from 150 to 90 (90 is the same value that I and a competitor got when testing the same sample within one hour) and the phosphates went from 300 to zero in less than 36 hours on a re-test WITH NO CHEMICALS ADDED!
