I went here for brunch with my boyfriend and ordered the shrimp and grits and he got the eggs a la duane. We got mimosas and coffee too, and then splurged and got the beignets, because we saw them on the table next to us and they looked so awesome. Everything was fantastic! The cream sauce on my bf's eggs was superb, and it worked well with the grit cakes that came with it. My shrimp and grits dish was hot and fresh, and the beignets were so great!! Our server was really nice too. Just a good overall experience. I cannot wait to go here again.

Perfect beignets!!

My friend and I went to Angelette's last weekend and had to try their beignets in addition to French toast for me and the shrimp and grits for her. We've both been to Cafe du Monde and agreed that the beignets were spot on, and my French toast was amazing, the bacon perfectly cooked, and I tried the shrimp and grits that my friend ordered. Yummmmm! The place was super busy, but we had lucked out and gotten a table for two pretty quick. This is my new favorite brunch place!

Great brunch menu, worth the wait

My girlfriend and I went to Angelette's over the holidays and there was a wait, but it was worth it. The omelet I got was perfect. My girlfriend loved her shrimp and grits. The service was very good. We will definitely go back!

Awesome, authentic Cajun

If you want to see how amazing Angelette's is, do a drive-by on a Sunday at about 12:30. Don't bother trying to get in, because they will be so packed with the brunch crowd that by 11:30 they will start turning away people.

If you want some amazing food, GO EARLY. The place is not big, but it can seat up to large groups. On weekends especially, expect a wait. The service is quick, so they will do their best to seat you. Once you get seated, get a buzz from their amazing chicory coffee and try ANYTHING on the menu, because no doubt it will be awesome. I've had everything from the crawfish omelette to crawfish etouffee to the beignets (JUST like Cafe du Monde, I swear) to the salads to the French toast. These people know how to cook, man, and the owners are actually FROM Louisiana, so they know Cajun. They even have their own hot sauce. Seriously. Go here, and bring people.

oooooweeeeeee, cher !

food is fabulous; I have tried at least 10 different dishes, and Marlo / Dwayne never disappoint. I lived in NOLA for 15+ yrs, so I learned a thing or two about Cajun food, and Angelette's gets it ! The service is fine, although folks who are not used to the South Louisiana personality may find the service a bit irreverent, but that's how the bayou folks roll, cher, so deal with it and just enjoy the food.

favorites: everything

super favorites: pancake with bananas Foster topping = sinfully good.

crawfish & andouille sausage omelette = makes you want to hug yourself and float to the ceiling like that 60's cartoon pup, Snuggles. It's that good !!!
