My dishwasher stopped functioning and displayed no lights on the control panel. We called Sears Appliance Repair and they sent Jenkins Appliance Repair. We told them ahead of time that the computer or control panel head no lights and no responses, but they came, checked it out and said it needed a new computer. They said they would call the next day and let us know when they would return to change out the computer board. It has now been 5 days and we've heard nothing. I called sears, waited on line to talk with someone, finally was able to talk and they transferred me to "over flow" which apparently handles any jobs outsourced to other companies. After being on hold for some time, I was told it had been fixed and I should go check it. Since my wife and would know if someone came to our house to fix the dish washer I told them it had not been fixed. But to placate them I went to the washer and reported that no lights would light and the washer would do nothing. They said they would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours to let me know what was happening. So essentially here we are, 7 days of no dish washer and Sears still doesn't have a clue. I bought maintenance on all my appliances because I don't trust Kenmore appliances and that's what my contractor put in the new house I built.

He ran all the diagnostics on the machine two time but did not find any indication of a problem. But having the experience he checked the drain hose which he found to be too far into the drain. He explained that this would create a backflow issue which would make the machine's computer determine that there was still water to be drained delaying or halting the spin cycle.
We had a very knowledgeable serviceman to fix our stove. It is working better now than it has ever worked.
