      Coosa Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a non-profit, member-owned and democratically run rural electric system. Each year, member-owners have the right to vote for representatives to serve on the board of trustees. The trustees set policies to govern the operations of the cooperative. It is our intent to provide reliable, quality electrical service to the membership at the most cost effective price.

      I have been a member of CVEC since 1972 and have never had
      a problem with our service. When the blizzard of 1993 came through the central part of Alabama, our power went off but was restored as soon as possible

      I absolutely love their service! I use the smart pay plan. NO HIDDEN FEES! And absolutely NO LATE FEES! Ask about the service. It's great!

      Horrible customer service, they cant ever help you resovle issue because they dont know. Disrespectful and rude to loyal paying customers.

      They give you absolutely no leeway in payment scheduling or rescheduling. Not even a few days. I paid a partial payment and would get my paycheck in 2 days to pay the rest, and they wouldn't do it. I had to go get a loan that day, take off work and pay it by the end of the day. At least she gave me until the end of the day. I hate CVEC. So much higher than Alabama Power.

      I have to agree with you, the prices are so much higher and they don't give you any breathing room between payment due dates and then pop you with a heavy late fee among other charges if you get disconnected. The only plus is unless your moving to the area they pretty much get to you for a service call in a reasonable amount of time.
