The atmosphere's great; if you're an old-school powerlifter like myself, there's no "lunk alarm" or people to judge you for squatting below parallel. Same goes if you do crossfit or any other type of compound-movement-heavy exercises. There are a few great trainers, and there are a few trainers who are about what you'd expect to find anywhere else, which isn't in and of itself a bad thing.I have access to another fitness center in town for free and I pay to exercise here because there is no judgement, and as long as you're respectful of the equipment and the people, they treat you like family.
So this summer, I canceled my one-month membership to Aerofit Health Club in Tahlequah. Whenever I signed my name upon the cancellation form, they must not have taken me seriously. Since July, I have been getting charged every single month unknowingly and did not realize until a few days ago once I was overcharged due to my card getting declined. Obviously upset about the situation, I called to try to get a refund and permanently cancel my secret membership. Long story short, I do not get a refund because they lost my form but "refuse to admit" their fault. I have unintentionally donated around $250 to this beautifully ran company only because they lost my form. Due to THEIR mistake, a mid-class college kid is significantly poorer and won't be going out to eat any time soon. Don't give your $$ to AEROFIT HEALTH CLUB! Trust me. DON'T DO IT.
