I went there on 05-06-08 and thought I would have a good time. the environment was friendly i'll give them that. after a round of there grease ridden tortilla chips me and my buddies ordered some happy hour food. they had pork enchiladas. and i had the chicken quesedilla. Big mistake. I didn't eat more than half before i started feeling it. I was sick all night and the next two days. and from what ive heard from people that know the management, this is not the first time.
don't ever eat there. the end
Masa Comida is operating in the building that used to be Lorenzo's. They have opened it up and decorated it with some funky colors (teal? and black). In the course of our meal, we experienced a very attentive waitress and were greeted by the manager, one of the owners (John), and maybe the cook. Somebody came around twice but didn't tell us his position and since we had already met the owner, manager, and waitress--so I guess it was the cook.
I had the Roadhouse chicken. Chicken breasts pounded flat, nicely seasoned and served with some very well prepared rice and beans. I was delighted with my plate. My wife had a porterhouse pork steak seasoned with a tamarind sauce that was sweet, spicy and perfect with the pork. The margeritas were superior as was the ice cream cake.
I'll go back and take my family for some great food and to see how John is doing.
