needs to be shut down!

Do not go here! The place is run by criminals and the bouncers have long criminal records! for your safety don't go here! Nothing but hoodlums and criminals!

update contact

You need to update contact information so people can call the club, masa is off the chain.

one of the decent places in tacoma

Pro: music is great. Most people are in to have a good time. The staff service is pleasant, I have been up to Tia LOus in seattle where bouncers f**** with customers like mobsters. The club set up is nice too. The crowd is inviting and always ready to party not standing by the wall.

Con: the cover charge is too much. Drinks are expensive with the bad economy.

Can't decide

Where to has potential (always nice to at least start out positive). Nice facility, good music.

But with a $10 cover charge and one particular bouncer who believes that shoving patrons around without warning is the best way to navigate a club, lets just say my experience was slightly tainted. I think that the next time I look for a place to go, I'll find somewhere of a higher caliber. Gentlemen: it was a little too sack-to-crack for my taste. The hot women, of which there were a decent amount, were diluted severely by the quantity of excessively large women.

Check it our for yourself...

Not so sure....

It was our first time dining at Masa. The service was decent. The food is expensive. We liked the carne asada burrito because it is the only reasonably priced item on the menu, the drinks were way too watered down and the chips so stale and hard like cardboard, not even the ?fancy? salsa could soften those suckers up. The dancing was fun (if you are into salsa).

Mixed Review

I have mixed feelings with this place. I've been twice, both times they were really busy, but during our second visit we decided to sit in the bar. I picked one of my favorite menu items (carne asada tacos). Now the first time I had these, they were very flavorful; however, the second time it tasted like I was chewing on an old tire. During the end of our meal, they cleared out the tables in the dining area, and a DJ set up to start playing extremely loud hip hop music. Once this happened they immediately started charging cover at the door, so some friends that were going to meet us had to give out $5 just to sit down and have a drink while we finished our meal. I think this restaurant is trying to do too many things. If they want to be a nice dining establishment that's one thing, and if they're trying to be a dance club - that is another. But to try and mix the two given the small space that they have... Didn't work for me. Too many other places to have good food. So, might give it another try sometime in the near future, but I'm currently giving it a borderline recommendation.
