Bad Choice

Planning a move soon? Just an advice on who NOT to use…

Thought we’d post this info on the forum advising individuals who are looking to move, to be careful not to do your move with “Lincoln Moving & Storage Company” as we will almost guaranty you will be dissatisfied. This advice is given from our own bad experience we had with Lincoln Moving & Storage Company.

We were very dissatisfied with Lincoln Moving & Storage Co., due to their very inaccurate quote given by the estimator. The gal who did our initial estimate claimed that she is usually very precise with her estimations however; the final cost to us was approximately $2,000 more.

She initially estimated our household goods to be roughly 5,000 lbs but the end results left us with a 6,900 lbs final shipping weight instead? This underestimate was compounded by the fact that we had even removed (decided not to take) our washer/dryer from our original shipping plans. With the washer/dryer weighing approximately 350 lb, this results in an underestimated weight of over 2,000 lbs. That is a pretty bad estimate.

Everyone asked us why such a huge swing in difference! And for the most part, in the opposite direction (increase VS decrease) too! How did it result in such a huge difference? Shouldn’t there have been a decrease versus such a significant increase in weight?? Did we get ripped off is the question?

Take this advice seriously as they will not compromise nor will they budge at any rate, to help you with this misestimating of weight.

We were very unfortunate to have been a victim of Lincoln Moving & Storage Company’s “RIP OFF” service.
