Horrible experience from the start!! We moved in and our rental was a disaster. Dirty, many broken items and in poor condition. NRB was very difficult to get ahold of and very slow to any maintenance requests or emails. Icing on the cake was when an employee named Bethany told us our last payment would be prorated since we were moving out early. Upon hearing this our family made special plans to move out early. Bethany said “pay the full months rent at the beginning of the month and when you move out on the 15th, we will send you the refund from your deposit and the extra money from your monthly rent in a prorated amount because you are moving out 15 days early.” Now after moving out, Bethany and the company are denying that they ever agreed to a prorated last months rent!!! $872.50 is what NRB owes us!!! The owner Randy refused to talk to us let alone resolve the issue. NRB has a dishonest employee who is lying to customers! What’s worse is the owner would take no action to care for his customers. We were excellent tenants for 2 years and it’s sad to be treated so poorly. I think this is the first time in my life a company has blatantly stole money from me. DO NOT USE NRB!!

If I could give it no stars I would. Let's start, when we moved into property 518 in Puyallup my room mate and I had to do a walk through, the guy Sean said that we could just sign it and not do it because he was busy, the sink in the bathroom had a leak. my room mate put an order in to fix it and they never showed so it didn't work for a year. We let that go. Towards the end the owners were poking around unannounced we were told by our neighbor, we then came home to a note on the door saying that if we don't up Keep the lawn we would be charged but he first 10 months of our lease nothing was ever said. Then theowners wanted Sean to do a "walk through" I took off work for him to NEVER SHOW UP. Then he asked if we could just send the filter information so he could change them and not do the walk through. On my move out date they decided to let me know that I needed to drop off a carpet cleaning reciept that I had no knowledge of or notice until the day I moved out. I'm assuming so they can keep the full deposit. Don't go through them!
I don't even want to give this management company a single star. I have rented from Dobler for more that 10 years, unfortunately due to my situation I could not get into a house. When I was finally in a spot to move, they were nothing but nasty toward me. I was on a month to month lease for over a year as I planned my move. Despite multiple visits to the office, our concerns for our living conditions was neither addressed nor improved. When turning in my keys, the apartment manager belittled me and shouted at me because she "had a bad day" She stated she had no desire to speak with me regarding my apartment and that I can handle this with a check when I receive my bill in the mail. The way she treated me and spoke to me left me in tears . 3 weeks later I got her "bill" in the mail. For over $3000! It's itemized and states that we dumped things at the dumpster that we brought to our new home. Through dealing with this company for as long as I have I have only come to one conclusion. This company cares only for money and are all around crooked. If I knew then, what I know now I never would have contacted them. I truly would have rather lived in a vehicle than have to deal with the anxiety and stress I was under for as long as I was. We found hypodermic needles in our backyard on multiple occasions. This is not for two managers we had that actually did something for our small community. My father is disabled and he lives with me, I take care of him. I'm fostering children now. I was a good tenant. Never had any complaints to me or about me. If I could give less than one star, I would. I would never recommend this company to my enemy
Defiantly do not recommend Aspen to manage your property. They have a great sale pitch but that is where it ends. We are now out of state and needed someone to take care of our house, they do not do that. But they will take your money.It is to their advantage to have a high turnover of tenants, that is where they make most of their money. My last tenant left before contract was up, they were so fed up with Aspen. They will not keep an eye on your house, all they want is money and they do not work for it.They sent me a bill, twice for some maintenance that was done, except it was never done. Aspen never checked to see of the work got done or done correctly, they just sent me a bill. How do I know the work did not get done? My new management sent me pictures. You cannot trust Aspen.Communication is the absolute worst you could ever imagine. Make sure you get all conversations, request and agreements in writing or recorded. Because you will be having all conversations more than once, and if you can prove they said they would take care of it, at least there is that. Almost seems like the lack of communication is intentional because the whole staff is like that, but that cannot be proven.We are out of state, that is why we needed someone to take care of our house. When Aspen would not take care of things that needed done, we had to find a company to fix appliance, we had to find a company to repair the floor. We did everything but collect the rent check. We hired them because they had a good rating with the Better Business Bureau, and that was only 2 years ago, but if you look on BBB’s web site now you will see they have a FLook it up, read all the complaints. The first year of renting a home through Aspen was fine. They could be a few days slow on getting back to us, but things were always taken care of.Now that we were in our second year of renting, it's like everyone disappeared. Our microwave blew out, and they said it was a professional grade $600 microwave, so they would not be replacing it with the same. Instead, a guy came to look at it and order parts. We are still sitting here, over a month later, and have not heard back from the repairman or Aspen.One of the large backyard trees lost a limb. It's fallen down and is just lying there. It needs to be completely sawed off and hauled out.Now fence posts have fallen down between our neighbor and our house.Lastly, we want to be sprayed again for spiders, as well as have the lock on the front door fixed, as it's almost impossible to open in the heat.Aspen refuses to get back to us. It's bizarre. They won't email back or check the tenant portal messages. They won't pick up our calls or call us back. It's like they all disappeared for the entire summer. I'm sitting here in August with things I requested to be fixed back in May. I cannot get through to them, and I can't make a drive down to Tacoma to knock on a physical door. I'm pulling out my hair!
I would not rent from Aspen again.I have lived in this house for almost 12 years and initially it was rented from a differnt company.Aspen has been horrible.When we have a repair it takes forever to get a response.Our back wooden patio step was beginning to splinter and buckle- it took months to get it replaced and that was not until my husband threatened to sue if we got hurt on it.We have asked for the roof/gutters to be cleaned when we noticed our gutter garden-someone came out,started on the detatched garage,quit and no one has been back to finish even though we have mentioned it.On and on the stories go.Their excuse always is to blame the landlords. Now we document everything.I call, document it and my husband emails.We are now having water pooling under the basement carpet that we noted on 2/21.We called and there is no longer an emergency option to choose.Just leave a message with Josh. Never again will we rent from these people.We just love this house too much to move.
Worst leasing agency I've ever dealt with! I grew up in Washington state and moved in about two years ago, they haven't fixed anything, I posted my water damage photos.
I bought my property in Gig Harbor from Roger. He was polite and professional and really funny, too. It is was an overall easy and pain-free experience. He took care of everything. All I did was look at the property and sign my name and it was mine. Now I have 2 acres of beautiful, wooded property that I built my house on and I love coming home to it everyday. Thanks, Roger!
Just called to inquire about a listed home (as suggested by the website) was told that there was a pending application (which takes 3 business days to process) 5 business days later called back and was told the same thing. When I tried to further inquire I was told that they could not tell me how many apps for this home they had, but I was welcome to fill out a app (41$ each) and they would either refund my money if house was unavailable OR I could look at their other listings, so in other words I give them $82 of my own money to "wait". Doesn't sound right to me ??? Why would they process the debit card if they don't even know the house is available????
Friendly and professional. They address concerns in a timely manner and have always been pleasant to work with.
