What can I say. took my computer in to get a new case so I can use my now current graphics card and wound up with a whole heap of mess. It has been four months since I had a fully functional gaming PC. Apparently my motherboard was not compatible with my current case so instead finding a way around that i now have a motherboard that does not have a functional sound card for gaming, a sound card that is not compatible with 64 bit windows 10, and I was lessened from 8 gigs of ddr2 ram to 6 gigs of ddr3. this has now caused issues compared to what i was previously using to game on. On my old PC I used to be able to flawlessly multitask in and out of a game, now my computer stutters and freezes up at any given random moment.my voice is incomprehensible and my friends refuse to game with me because I can't communicate anymore. I don't have my old motherboard either to fix this issue because it was never given back to me. I also have less slots to upgrade with now and would have to buy a whole new motherboard just to fit more RAM in. Chris even back tracked when I called him on giving me an inferior processor then the one that I had. I WOULD HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND TAKING A PERFECTLY WORKING PC IN FOR NEW PARTS. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Not a very good businessman and a very unpleasant experience. From the moment I contacted him, he was complaining about being busy. I called him to see if we could to set up a contract with him to see if he would be my eyes and ears for a client since I'm in California the gentleman just hung up on me. This wasn't a sales call I was looking for a vendor.
I had forgotten how it feels to work with a Mac. My 2006 MacBook had been super slow for a long time. I have a Mac because I know little about computers and have no interest in spending much time fixing stuff on it. I brought it to the Mac Guy store and I got it back in 24 hours working like new. I'm happy with the service and the only question I have is: why did I wait so long to bring in my computer?
Picked up my MacBook Pro yesterday. It was a complex problem that completely stymied the Geniuses at the Apple Store. We went back and forth over and over, and finally they wanted to switch me into a new one, for quite a bit of money. A friend suggested the MAC GUY. The first repair we changed out the DVD cable which seemed to fix it, but a week later I couldn't watch my movie, so I went back and we replaced the drive, that was two months ago, and its worked great since. Nonetheless, I took it back to the Mac Guy on Tues. since he had suggested that I come back and we would trade out the old cable just to be sure whether or not it continued to work, and so we put back the old cable right there on the desk, and no!... it failed to even mount, so we put back the new one, and it worked. I knew this was a complex problem, but we worked it out. I'm thrilled, and now have extra money to spend! lol
I am a computer science major and needed my computer fixed quickly. I support local business and brought it in to the Mac Guy. He said he would call me in 2 days, I didn't hear from him for 5!!! He said that the hard drive was bad and we discussed options. I can do this type of thing myself, but since he had it I opted to let him do it. He put in the drive and told me that (after 2 more days) he could NOT get my documents to migrate. I told him to put a fresh install of OSX on it and I would come and get it. I picked it up, only to find that the problem stil existed. I took it to the genius bar and we found that the sata 3 cable was the problem, not the hard drive. I FIXED IT MYSELF, putting in all new components and cable. I put in a terabyte high speed in the optical, a OWC 240gb ssd in the main drive bay(after replacing the cable), and it works great...including the old drive (the 'bad' one) when I connect it via usb cradle. For someone who 'knows' mac, he sure fell short on this one!!! GO TO THE GENIUS BAR INSTEAD and save yourself what happened to me.
I'm a student so I try and save the little money that I have. I took my laptop to this guy becaue the battery wouldn't stay charged. I signed a piece of paper, it was a contract I guess because when I went to pick it up he more than doubled the price. I couldn't afford to pay and he kept my laptop. My dads mad at me because he's the one that paid for it, and he had to buy me a new one. I'm stil fuming, can any one sugest what I can do to get my mac back?
Incredibly wonderful service, top notch repairs... FIRST RATE!!The DeeTee poster is a liar, they are posting under different names at all the YELP type sites... Mike, Jason, Gilberto, Fannie, now DeeTee and I'm sure there will be more... ‘They’ are, or actually one person is... a TROLL! Making up stories about bad parts, slow service, high cost, BBS as an issue, and more... I'm sure 'their' story will grow, until it becomes "The Mac Guy' took my mac out to the front yard and shot it with a assault weapon!"... hehe!! Some people are simply bizarre, and mentally ill... something bothered this person, so they are looking for vengeance!?? I'd disregard 'them' and go into the Mac Guy and discover how great the service ACTUALLY is... the BEST in the entire South Puget Sound... THOUSANDS of Customers later, and 18 years experience... that's what matters.
The owner, operator, dunce, Mark who works at the rundown shack that is supposed to be a business is rude, un reliable, and a liar. I took my laptop there to have repairs done and he double what he quoted me. I had no choice but to pay and when I got home my laptop still didn't work. He said that he doesn't warranty his repairs. Take your valuable Mac's else where people!
Wow, these people really know what they're doing! I took my macbook to the Apple Store and they said I'd have to replace the logic board, well the Mac Guy, Mark, ... fixed it at less than half the Apple price in less than a week. I just read the other review here and they said they were surprised it was cash only but it's all over the paperwork, and the receipt I got when I checked in my computer, spells out the terms in large fonts? I don't know, maybe that person is illiterate? Anywise, my computer works great, so I'm glad to rate!
