One blustering cold typical winter evening at the gym I had just completed yet another long, draining, yet ineffective workout. Much like every other weekday, I was sitting in the gym lobby, feeling my efforts to get more fit were completely futile. This day however, I was lucky enough to be approached by Homer, a highly regarded trainer. When he told me he’d seen my workouts for quite some time now, and that with better technique, slight modification to my routine, and integration of more weight resistance training in my workout, I would see noticeably better results. Upon saying this, he noted my work ethic and that he saw potential in me as an athlete, more particularly, a runner. This was new to me and I was flattered. I had never thought of myself as a real “athlete”, and most certainly not a runner. But from that moment on, I had a new source of momentum, an encouraging mentor, and a fresh sense of determination, all derived from Homer. My new attitude was not the only thing which I had acquired while working with Homer.
After spinning my wheels for 18 months, I started training with Homer to lose weight, increase metabolism, and satisfy the cardiologist who wanted my cholesterol level below 150. I’ve achieved all goals thanks to Homer’s knowledge and interest in improving my overall health. Homer has become more than a trainer; he’s become my friend. The cardiologist indicated to never stop training with Homer.
I have been working out with BC Wellness for about two years now and BC Wellness has certainly changed my life.1st I have learned how to work harder at loosing weight. 2nd I have gained muscles 3rd I have learned how to eat correctly. 4th my self confidence has grown a lot and 5th I am meeting great people with similar goals and desires. But most of all it is nice to be in a smaller size.
