Services for Seniors, a division of the Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurse Association, provides a range of homemaker assistance services, including housecleaning, laundry, shopping and running errands for senior citizens. It also offers home-delivered meals and counseling, exercise therapy and transportation services. The division provides a senior companion program that includes visits by another senior citizen for friendship, companionship and social interaction. Services for Seniors also offers a caregiver support program and respite care and medication management services. It operates a case coordination unit. Founded in 1918, the Southwestern Illinois Visiting Nurse Association is a home health care agency that provides nursing care and physical, occupational and speech therapy services. It is affiliated with the National Association for Home Care and the Illinois Department of Public Health.
