The service guy showed up on Thur., 4/21, around 1:15 PM for our scheduled application. The garage doors were closed so he didn't know we were home and were watching from inside the house. He opened the back of the truck and messed around with a few packages before pulling out a white, pump-up sprayer. He walked toward the house and swung the applicator two or three times (didn't even make it across then lawn). He then went back to the truck, printed the bill and put it in our mailbox and left. Less than 2 - 3 minutes total time to apply treatment. Hardly even touched the lawn. If the bill was put in the mailbox before the mail delivery, it would have been thrown out by the mailman. Fortunately, he had already delivered the mail. The bill also details what service should have been performed. None of this was done, no hose, no spreader, nada. My decision to contact TruGreen has proven to be the right choice. We are about to begin our 3rd year with TruGreen and we have expanded our service with them. We just completed our landscaping in the back yard and will be tasking TruGreen to keep the backyard looking as good as the front yard. I no longer have to fight weeds. My yard looks great and I have more time on the weekends for better projects. Jim
My lawn looked very bad at the beginning of the year. Tru green has done a great job (another lawn company had told me to get the lawn in better shape before they would talk turkey about maintenance). It still needs work but it looks so much better. I'm going ahead and sign up again for next year.
I'm very pleased with my service and mt tech has always been very helpful and professional to me.my yard always has looked great until the lack of rain has turned the green.I'm disabled so it's not easy for me to water& your mgr really helped me out with my pricing and I do appreciate the call before you come.Please continue to that.
My Tru Green specialist always does a thorough job, If I am home he will ask if there is anything he can do for me.I am a widow living on Social Security and was thinking about quitting your service to save money. He went through the program and told me which applications I could forget and still have a nice lawn and thus save me two applications a year.
After having trugreen service my yard for a year (I prepaid) and had weeds through out the entire time, I finally got the service manager from the Suwanee branch to come to my home. His name is James Yelverton. His statement was " This yard is a failure of epic proportions. This was on April 1st. He promised a service professional and a refund of my money. On April 8th, still no treatment so i did it myself. Drove to the branch and saw the branch manager. His name is Gary Moore, I showed him photos of my yard and he said the best he would do is to refund ONE treatment and thats it! I told him i would come here and post the truth and he did not care. Go elsewhere. I would post the photos here if i could but i have had as many as 3 treatments in a 1.5 month period all of which never killed a single weed.
PATHETIC- A grade schooler could do better work. Here is my story.. First, a door to door salesperson stops by in February of 2013 (who you find out later doesn't work for TrueGreen and is a hired gun making money on the side) He talked to me about the Poi grass I had throughout my yard. We agreed on a yearly contract and he promised that it might take two applications but the poi grass would be killed. First application- did nothing, three week passed and I called the salesperson ( still thinking he was Truegreen) he called me back to say a second application would be applied. A second application was put down and three weeks later, still not a SINGLE dead poi grass. At this point, my salesperson disappeared and never returned my calls or text. I called the local TrueGreen office and was told that the person was probably putting down the wrong weed killer.. (YEP- The lawn professionals claim that they don't know how to kill weeds)... So a third application was put down.. At this point it was about mid May and it was getting hot so the weeds were slowly dying to the heat. I was lucky enough to be home when the service tech came by and he said to "just cut the grass real short and it will die"...MAN! WHAT SERVICE.. Next month, my backyard is overran with weeds as none of the previous applications have helped my rear yard.. I have made multiple calls all of which are received and logged in their computer system. I have now asked for managers to call and never get a reply other than a return call I miss several days later. Finally, I speak to a manager and he tells me he will have "Jim" a expert personally take care of my yard. ( A woman from the company did make a visit to my home to verify the horribke conditions and weeds everywhere) I meet with Jim and he tells me it will take two applications to fix the yard and after his first application 80% of the weeds are dead... (I guess Jim has weed killer and the rest of the guys carry colored water). I called Jim to let him know, he comes by for a second application and my yard is FIXED.. I now have a perfect lawn and it is Aug/ September. Now the weeds begin returning, I make calls, and by March 2014 my yard is infested everywhere. The back yard is half green from many types of weeds and the front yard is so bad I have been written up by homeowners association (Actually written up for the front yard on 3-5-14) . I cant count how many times I have called as you are supposed to remind them if you have weeds. The last guy out did say that he couldn't treat the weeds as all he does is pre-emergent. So when he puts down pre-emergent he wont treat for weeds nor will he schecule to kill the weeds .WHAT SERVICE!!.A weed treatment company that doesn't treat weeds!!! HOW ABOUT THAT!! . They have now been out three times in the last month and a half and not a single weed has died. The back yard is green as if it were grass growing but its all winter weeds. They think its your job to call continuously... THE BOTTOM LINE IS THERE ARE REAL COMPANIES WHO WILL DO YOU A JOB AND NOT TREAT YOU LIKE A NUMBER AND A FREE PAYCHECK. THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES I HAVE EVER DELT WITH.. ONE YEAR OF HELL. Now i am trying to cancel but am being told a manager will call... That was tuesday and its now Saturday and never got a call on my home or cell number.... I wish i could post photos!!
