college student, 1st car. TERRIBLE SERVICE from serv dept + sales. Ownd car for less than 2 wks. Chk engine light came on, had to get plates and 1 item fxd agreed to in purchase, I asked them to look when I came in. Filled up gas on way & noticed cap wasn't screwed on tight-the chk engine lght did not come back on. I brought in & explained they charged $100 for a diagnostics(!)+$20 for new cap.("seal on your gas cap is bad, you are going to need a new one") Flustered drove home-UGH they didn't put my license plate on! Talked to Adam (sales) & he says he couldn't do anything & "They can't cover anything [parts] because we don't know how you drive." I said my driving wouldn't create a bad gas cap seal or $100 diagnostics charge he said "our mechanics still need to get paid"&"I wish we could make everyone perfectly happy, but we can't." I would NEVER purchase from them knowing this is how they treat their new customers. My 1st car buying experience. NOT helpful, feel lied to & cheated.
Bought a used SUV from northland Chevrolet. Started having some issues with the vehicle. My wife called down there to talk to them about it and there response was basically oh well. We did not get 10000 miles out of the SUV or should I say 3 oil changes before we found out there was metal shavings in the oil. Needless to say my wife drove it for 2 more days after the 3 oil change and it started clunking bad. So we had it towed to the local Buick dealer to find out that it had threw a rod. So after spending over $20000.00 at northland Chevrolet it is going to cost my wife and I well over $6000.00 to fix the vehicle. So people I suggest you never buy a used vehicle from northland Chevrolet because they new there was issues with it when they sold it to us. I wondered why the salesman ask us how long we planed on keeping it. Well now I know why.
