The theater in itself wasn't bad, however; as a frequent AMC supporter i have concerns with what are the methods and procedures for disruptive customer. I personally experienced this first hand with a rudly guest and her use of her cell phone. Initially i politely ask the lady could she not talk or place or receive calls as we were already 20 to 30 mins into the movie. Secondly i'm 100% sure she and her guest did not have ticket stubs to this particular movie (pretty much movie hoppers) as they sat next to me in unassigned handicapped seatings. I then engaged security at which point he came and ask her to silence her phone ... which she replied, "I'm trying to contact my friend." She did get off the phone only to have the friend call w/ringer on and carried out a full conversation with friend to give him her location as she obviously sitting in an unassigned seats w/o tickets. That wasn't enough as she then continued to text and received message (as her message notification is audio/on) i'm assuming to antagonize me ... i sat there for another 10-15 mins thinking this is crazy i'm not going to engage with her and (assumed boyfriend) dissruptive, disrespectul behavior. I got up went to the ticket agent "Ronald" to ask for a refund w/o incident and then requested to speak with the manager. The manager Jose ( seemingly nervous) but a look of disdain offered me a free pass but also engaged security as to confirm the initial request his handeling to defuse the situation. That being said as a frequent mover goer at this particular theater for seven + years i shouldn't have to had to leave feeling that this was not handled with swift and appropriate attention. As a customer i first asked politely ask could you continue the conversation outside in the lobby area and secondly after being met with resistence ... i the engaged security at which point he/she after giving a verbal the first time the second should have resulted with extricated the dissruptive non-ticket holding customer out of the movie theater. Pacifying me with a refund and a free pass is not going to solve the problems for people who have no regard for the rules and instructions that are CLEARLY given prior to the start of the movie. Was this a inconvience ... yes! Was i completely satisfied with the way this was handled .. NO. I hope this will be a coaching opportunity for the staff and all involved that going to the movies is a time to disconnect from the everyday rat race to a place of calm and serenity.
A wonderful place for IMAX movies and for kids of all ages to play together. A wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
