I found something hard in salad and instead of apologizing they asked what part of the salad did you find it. Then waiting 20 minutes for drink. Went to the meat counter and the cook couldn't speak English well enough to tell what he was serving me which turned out to be greasy and fatty. Then I asked if I could get the dessert to go since it was included in the meal and was told we don't do that but I'll check with my manager, again gone for 20 minutes, couldn't get a check from my server (couldn't even a drink) so walked up the register to try and pay the check and leave and that's when the manger also cashier proceeded to ask if everything was alright I said no explained the whole situation and she (Erica) said oh sorry to hear that did you get your dessert I said no I just explained that to you and she proceeded to say I'll make the exception for the to go (seriously) and then said that will be $66 dollars so I paid and left without the tipping "no see em" waiter. I will NOT be going back EVER and would never recommended this place to anyone !!!! Horrible !!!!!

Great atmosphere unlike most Caribbean Restaurants. I was warmly greeted at the door. The Oxtail is excellent as is most items on the menu!!

Hello, it was my son's birthday and he loves meat. My entire experience was awful. The service at the meat counter was awful and long. The employee was rude and the meat was full of fat and uncooked or too cooked. I do not reccommend this place at all. Its not cheap and you can get better cooked meat or cut any where else.
I went to dine at The Knife Restaurant on Monday, March 30, 2015 around 4:00pm, with my husband, and my daughter. We sat down; order lemonade and a bottle of wine and some bread. The server was very polite, but unfortunately after 5 minutes been inside the restaurant my daughter started to cry and I was not able to stop her, please understand that having a special need child is a very hard work and that she has no control of her body and pain. After 2 minutes, and seen that my daughter was very uncomfortable, and she won’t stop crying, I decided to leave, because I was not going to have Lunch with my daughter screaming and crying. At that time my husband was at the salad bar, when he returned, I told to please tell the server the citation. The server returned with the FULL CHECK, $50 CHECK!! My husband told her that we were there for no more than 10 minutes, that he only grab some items from the salad bar, which we didn't even have a chance to eat, and not even drink the wine or the lemonade. I call the server, and she mention, that she comment to the manager about what happened, but he said to charged full amount. I call the manager myself, and explain the situation, and he said he was going to do a discount. He came back with a $20 check. This was unacceptable!!! We were there for less than 10 minutes, we had absolutely nothing to eat, not even mention that we didn't even went to the grill!! My daughter has a condition, which we had many times left restaurants, because she will feel uncomfortable!! I work in restaurants, I know back to back how they work, and this is something that the Management should definitely do something about it. Having a MANAGER ON DUTY, AND HE HAS NO IDEA HOW DO DEAL WITH SITUATIONS LIKE THIS ONE, SHOULD NOT BEEN RUINING A RESTAURANT. !!!!!!
Went here 2 weeks ago approx for late lunch. The lady was fine but got up to get steak at steak bar and felt like I was in episode of Seinfeld with soup nazi. This cook could not have been more rude we will not return. Also outside front entrance was absolutely filthy. Good luck. Hate giving reviews of this nature!!
I was at Munchies 3800 University Avenue in Sunrise. When we got there there were, there was a couple that just came in, I wondered around the Restaurant looking for the first time at what to do. There were 5 people behind the counter 3 females and no 0ne asked or welcomed us. Finally the couple asked if they were to be seated or should they sit themselves. The service was already a Terrible experience, the waitress finally came over as I asked what was the main Desert available, she said WHAT YOU NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE, I am like WOW. But ordered something as I was there. Took for ever to get what I ordered, and It Took for ever to pay About 45 minutes CRAZY never heard of this. My God a wanted to leave so bad, I will never ever return, I will NOT recommend this place to anybody.
Very disappointed. The food is good but bad service.
is the second time that I will eat a bite. there, the first time a few months ago now, the chicharon came salty, I said one gentleman, and I contestos that people liked so I told him I should sell it tasteless, people, you add salt to your taste, but more terrible, was yesterday afternoon, he orders another bite, and chicharon was broken, wise evil, as if old, rotten, I told the waitress, who changed me, and I would not change, told me all chicharones, they was selling were fresh, because I tell you, that fell me wrong, and that they only ate three pieces because I was disgusted, feeling sick by bad taste, and all night pass diarrhea and vomiting, not as sold, old, bad food, should close the restaurant to sell so I'm thinking to call health
review_starsI asked for "bandeja paisa" they did bring another plate called Plato montañero, but they didn't say anything. The plate didn't have some of the regular ingredients that you can find on that typical dish. It didn't have Arepa, avocado, and obviously I did complaint. They said that I can find those ingredients if I go to Colombia, but not here in south Florida. The shift manager and the waitress, did continue saying that laud.Minutes later they did bring the "Arepa" to the table. This restaurant is offering a plate with less ingredients and scamming people who really don't know about the typical food plates from Colombia. Don't go there.
