Can I Get a Pet if I Live in a Small Apartment? »
Living in small space doesn't mean you can't have a furry friend -- it just means you have to do some planning.
YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

Living in small space doesn't mean you can't have a furry friend -- it just means you have to do some planning.
We've put together a small list to get you started on your journey -- and the first step starts with a single box.
Renovation completed in 2015. Brand new interior and exterior of very building, all new appliances, counter tops, cabinetry, hardwood floors, and washer and dryer in every unit. There are two pools, three fitness rooms, and free wifi!! The staff rocks!!!
I moved here in 2011 when rent was affordable. Rent, however, increased 30% in the last two years. These apartments were built in 1976 when asbestos and lead based paints were used. The heating and cooling systems are old and in winter, it will be cold in the hallways. I had to weather strip my doorway to close the many gaps to improve sustainability. The elevator is old, slow and needs replacing (with mobility impairment, I had been disrupted with many service interruptions). Walls and doors are thin. I frequently heard my neighbor's kids run through the halls and the long conversations held outside their doors. Multiple garage and building lobby leaks resulted in water stained carpets and might have explained the intermittent water shut off. Two years ago I came home from burying my father to a flooded apartment caused by the kitchen sink backflow from my upstairs neighbor. Needless to say, my neighbor's food was unappetizing. I had to be put into a hotel. Social events and monthly newsletters were discontinued since renovation resulting in a lack of community and effective communication (see barren sad-scape photo).Resident portal hadn't been updated in four years. I still was unable to pay rent electronically or by auto deposit while living in the gateway of Silicon Valley. On compliance, management returned my final security deposit more than two weeks past the 21 days required by law. And the laundry! Laundry hanging from balconies (see photo) is prevalent and unsightly. Seriously, do you really want to look at your neighbor's sari, towels and rugs? It likens the appearance to that of a tenement or row house. This after a major cosmetic upgrade. I should note that management failed repeatedly to address its own violation of community policies as well as other matters, e.g., see photo "This Building Smells Like Pee." A lack of responsiveness and enforcement results in blatant disregard and apathy. In sum, Waterstone Apartments, a PUR property and a subsidiary of The Marcus and Millichap Companies, needs necessary improvement.Note: Photos on Yelp.
Worst apartment to live in and morover they almost took all my security deposit in the end. Oh boy they charge you with one hefty amount stating carpet cleaning whole apartment cleaning and also painting. What's the difference between carpet.cleaning and apartment cleaning? And also painting. Just day time robbery. Now you go n see.. 2 bed for $2000 to $2400. Definitely I would say its not that worth living there if you are a family. As a bachelors we found very hard living there for 1 year. Just they will rob you in the name of rent and finally your security deposit. Better try apartments like alborada avalon and pebble creek in fremont. Full of bugs and fortunately there is no bed bugs but spiders mosquitos leaches etc etc you would find inside the apartment. I would say dont ever go visit this place for even to have a look at the apartments if you want to save yourself day time robbers and save some bucks which you earn hard out of your efforts. I should give negative undefinable rating to this worst apartments but this website asking me to give atleast 1 rating. That's how I feel now after losing so much of money to these robbers
DO NOT LIVE HERE. THE OWNERS, PAN-CAL CORPORATION, ARE A BUNCH OF THIEVES. THEY WILL JACK YOU EVERY CHANCE THEY GET. The place is loud, and not in the safest part of Fremont; there are sirens always going off. It got worse and worse in the 6 years I lived there. When I moved in, they offered free cable. They soon took that amenity away. While I lived there for 6 years, other units were remodeled and upgraded and rent increased. My rent was increased accordingly but I never got upgraded or remodeled or was I even given that option. So when I moved out, I knew they were immediately going to up remodel my unit. Because of this, the manager said I didn't have to clean anything as it was all going to be ripped out and replace with new furnishings. I saw all the renovation taking place 2 hours after I moved out when I went back to get the last of my stuff - they sledgehammered the kitchen cabinets and were dumping the old appliances in the living room. Carpets were a mess, and debris was everywhere. Two weeks later, GUESS WHAT??? They charged me with cleaning fees and carpet cleaning fees. They also prorated my last days wrong so I got stiffed over $300 total. DO NOT LIVE HERE. THE OWNERS, PAN-CAL CORPORATION, ARE A BUNCH OF THIEVES. THEY WILL JACK YOU EVERY CHANCE THEY GET.
If you love your loved ones, stay away from this place. These Manages are nosy, and in your business, make demands of you that they do not make on other tenants. They let their workers mess up your place and not clean up after themselves, and they also tear up your floor and it has not been fixed. They come into your house and look around like they are casing it for later , they let other tenets just walk into your place, they also let other tenants threaten others with blowing up their apartment . They hide termite damage, there are holes in the ceilings that never get fixed right...... they let non-tenets park on property, but demand more from you, so is this a nice place, it use to be 4 years ago. They have Bingo, and if you are friends with the caller you some how win a lot, many other fun activities have stopped so the only thing is a rigged Bingo game.... they used to do arts and crafts, and other group activities no more......
Do not move here!Yeah this place may be affordable and in a good location. But it's not worth the headache! The management is a joke. They are very unprofessional and racist. My husband and I heard the manager's husband saying some racist remarks to a tenant just because he parked his car in the wrong lot. They hand wrote a note and gave it to all teh tenants telling them they were not allowed to have their chikdren playing outdoors because they were reckless. They suggested they take their children to park nearby if they wanted to play outdoors. I also had a very bad experience with the owner of the apartments. I was told to wait 4-6 weeks for my deposit check. I waited over 2 months and finally decided to call the owner to check on the status. He was a complete douche bag. You would think that being a business owner he'd be a professional but it was the opposite. He kept calling me by a different name, even after I corrected him many times, he still couln't get it right. He finally began yelling at me for no apparent reason, he also became verbally abusive and finally told me not to call him anymore and if I needed anything to mail him my requests. I was in disbelief. Which is why I am writing this review and also finally a coomplaint with Fremont housing. Please, please think twice before you move in.
This place is awful!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS!!! They act like they are family friendly but they most certainly are not. We were constantly harrassed for our 2 yr old's night mares. We were threatened with calls to CPS because "we let him cry for more than 10 minutes", we called the police department to find out what our rights were and go figure we were doing nothing wrong. I would wake up to nasty messages from the manager about my bad parenting. Right before we moved they posted notice on all the tenants' doors saying that kids were no longer allowed in the courtyard regardless of supervision. It said more specifically that parents were lazy and needed to make time for their kids and take them to park to play. They also repaired everything themselves, which is fine if they knew what they were doing. They constantly tried to blame their shoddy repairs faulting, on us. I told them about our balcony boards coming up and that it felt unstable and about 3 weeks later they came out to fix it; all they did was glue the boards down and paint over them. Mind you, there was dry rot underneath and it still felt unstable. The first night that we were there we had to have the plumber come out to fix their lame attempt at replacing part of the kitchen sink piping with a sharp angled pvc pipe. The cabinets were falling apart, there was water damage in the bathroom, we moved in with an old carpet "because we had a pet". After we moved the carpets should have been replaced but they redyed the carpet for stains we didn't do and we were charged for out of our deposit. They have a horible management team that needs to be replaced.
