Rosie's Italian Cafe

This is the second time I have tried this place and it's just bad! Entering the door we encounter Roise the owner (I guess) and she was upset because the party of 6 that walked in ahead of us didn't have a reservation. It was 4:00pm and no one was in the place. Helloooo First off, their side salads have a lot to be desired, basically cut up lettuce and very skimpy on the dressing. At least give people some dressing to eat with the "just lettuce".

Second, I wanted to order chicken parmesan with white sauce instead of red sauce, shouldn't be too difficult right? Well my request was not well received. I was told that if they use white sauce it will separate . Hold on don't you bread the chicken, cook the chicken and then top it with sauce and cheese and put it in the oven until the cheese is melted? If your sauce won't handle that then IT'S OLD and you shouldn't be serving it!!! White sauce should be made fresh for every dish, every day folks!!!!! They did offer to charge me extra for a side of OLD white sauce on the side.

Instead I ordered the baked ziti with meat sauce. Oh my.... bad bad bad. Plain watery ziti noodles with a scoop of meat sauce on top (which most likely was old) and only 2 tbl of cheese over the top of this awful dish. I wanted to send it back and leave. The third issue, the bill comes and they charge for an extra roll and didn't mention a word. Beware 1 roll per customer. Service leaves a lot to be desired

Phoenix area pizza is mostly greasy NewYork slices. You cannot find a decent Chicago-style pizza anywhere, except at Rosie's! When we're in town, we dine there every Wednesday. When friends and relatives come down from the old neighborhood, we bring them, too, unless they're Cub fans!

Rosie's is our favorite place to eat in the area. We go there often with friends during our snowbird stay in Surprise. Good food, friendly wait staff, decent prices. What more could you want??

My wife and I dine at Rosie's on a regular basis. We think the food is excellent; every dish we've tried has not been just good - but REALLY GOOD - and the service is as good as the food. Yeah Rosie!

rosie i've eaten @ your restaurant twice, you have horrible food you should pay me to eat that crap! I'm a chicagoan only lived here 2 years. Chgo. is known for it's food, you give Chgo. a bad name. I will never eat @ your restaraunt again, and I certainly will not recommend you to any one else. I'm not the only one, I bought food for my co-workers and they hated it. they asked me what I was thinking, and did I have taste buds. your food is crap @ high prices, trust me I have no problem paying for good food. You should hire better chef 's or change your menu. Have you actually tried your food? If so and you think it's good then perhaps you don't have any taste buds.
