I usually take my son for a haircut as a walk in. He gets a simple buzz with the clippers, number 4 guard. Takes 5 to 10 mins tops. Never had to wait over 5 mins to get him worked in. Today, there were 2 stylists there. One had a client, the other who checked us in just finished with one and had one coming in immediately behind. We were asked to wait for a stylist (Tammy?) due in at 1pm. It was 105pm when we checked in. While waiting, another stylist walked in, checked in and walked to the back of the salon. She had no clients and nobody came in for her during the 20 mins we waited for the assigned, late stylist. We waited 20 mins and the stylist never showed up. Nobody even took the time to call her to see what her arrival status was to let us know. I feel like the free stylist who came in (who I suspect was the manager. Her name was Linda, I believe) could have taken the few minutes to provide the service to keep us from waiting any longer. I walked out and took him to another salon who took him right in. I had to pay a little more than what this salon normally charges ($3 difference) but today it was well worth it to go elsewhere and pay the difference not to have to wait. All About Hair has lost my business! Thank you to Famous Hair for getting my son right in and doing a fantastic job today!
The two stars is for my service experience there. I made an appointment in person for 1:00 p.m. I got there promptly at 1:00 and was told my appointment was at 1:30. O.K. so I came back and waited about 20 minutes only to be told that the person who was supposed to cut my hair got "stuck" on her current client cause she had more hair than they thought. I was told a haircut is $35.00 which I find a little expensive because my hair is very fine and is cut in a short bob style. So because whomever they assigned to me couldn't cut my hair they gave me to another stylist who used to work there but now "rents" a chair from them. She gave me a decent cut BUT it cost me $40 instead of the $35.00. I also had mentioned when I made the appointment that I wanted my eyebrows waxed which was going to cost an additional $15.00. Didn't get it done as the girl who cut my hair was going to charge me $20. Even $15 is ridiculous for an eyebrow wax. It probably uses 10 cents worth of materials and takes 5 minutes. So NO I will not go back there nor recommend them. Remember customer service is the key to any successful business. No one apologized for my inconvenience.
My experience was excellent!! String was recommend to me and I took my grandson for his first hair cut.. I was so please by their expertise and mannerism. The whole staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very pleasure. This will be the place for me to bring my grandson...it was worst the one hour drive...thank you for a great first time experience.
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! DO NOT GO! My mom hadn't had a pedicure in years.. The lady did half a job on cleaning the dead skin that was build up around my moms nails!! I tried to explain to her what she needed to correct but the language barrier was horrible... This was the worst experience my mom ever had.. She didn't massage her feet, she didn't even polish correctly.. Most of all she left dead old skin around the cuticle of her toes.. Bad customer service and the language barrier was horrible
I've not had any services by this Salon but have tried desperately to seek out a Salon that can and will help me as I explore for someone that can put in (tape in hair extensions) because of the support i've received in helping me to find some one to take the steps in helping guide me as real to myself starting with my physical appearances in the process of healing my way back beginning with my hair so i'm open to anyone who will guide me! Hope to hear back from who's willing and able to help me! Ty, Sincerely, Lani Metcalfe.
Terrible. First off, their online appointments. Every time you go to set an appointment, check your appointment details, etc....you have to create a new account. Their system is broken. I called to ask for help and they told me to enter my firstnamelastname (which wasn't my username I chose) then the next time I tried to log in, that didn't work either.Second, their pricing on their website says (at the time of writing this) that a men's haircut and beard trim is $23. I thought "wow, that's pretty good compared to most places just offering haircut for close to that". When I go to pay the stylist charged me $28. I asked the lady at the front and she tried to argue that the stylists can choose to charge up to $10 more than the posted price for basically any reason. Nothing on their site says this, they don't warn you ahead of time, nothing. So I fought back and told her that's not what's advertised and they insisted that since they are independent stylists (or something like that) that they can charge whatever they want. WHAT?!?! Are you kidding me? So if the stylist "thinks" my beard or haircut was "too hard" they can just tack on $5 to $10 just because? No way! I made them adjust the price to what was posted and made sure they knew i'd NEVER be returning. This is shadiest business practice i've ever seen.
This is a great salon - tried many - but only satisfaction came when I started going to Beauty Works in the 1980's. They are all excellent beauticians. The one I favor is Keila - she's great and always understands exactly what I want done to my hair! Many kudos to all of you!!!
