I went for a pedicure since I have dead skin on the soles of my feet that I cannot get off my self. While there I decided to get a manicure to since I was already spending money on what I consider a waste/special event pamper. I had questions for the manicurist, and I was not sure if she were not able to understand because of a language barrier or if she was just not interested in talking with me. I ended up paying for a design on my nails thinking that the pricing was $5 for a nail design that would cover all ten nails and did not realize it would only cover one for each hand. I also was upset in general with the nail painting job because she did not paint my entire nail. There was a sliver of white nail showing on each finger closest to my cuticle. I know it is common practice not to go all the way to the cuticle with acrylic nails, but nail polish needs to cover the entire nail as close to the cuticle as possible in my opinion. She did a really good job of cleaning up the skin surrounding my nails and the skin on the soles of my feet (the purpose of my visit). So all in all I think it depends on what you are going for and how comfortable you feel telling someone when you are disappointed with a service. If you are like me and won't say anything at the salon, but as soon as you get home you are going to take the nail polish off of your fingers because it bothered you, I would suggest getting a clear coat and being ok with the excellent cleaning. If you are a perfectionist when it comes to the appearance of your nails and are vocal when it comes to dissatisfaction then I think it would be fine for you to try it out since the pricing is reasonable.
