I went into Dr Johns. I had chosen over 500 in merchandise and was trying on a pair of shoes. When the manager who was a African American lady came into the store and told the clerk to ask me to leave. When o asked why I was told that information could be given to me. At this point I would like to mention that I am a transgender. So I am sure that I was asked to leave because of who I am. The lady that was with me asked the manager why I was being asked to leave and she was told because we had been on the store for 45 minutes. I would not recommend anyone go to thus location especially if you are associated with the LGBT or are a friend of anyone who is. I have been in transition for 3 years and I am living full time as a female. I have never been treated with such disgusting treatment in my life. Please do the world a favor and boycott this location until the current manager has been removed from the premises like I was.

Prices advertised are not the prices you pay when you get to the register extremely disappointed after 30 plus years of shopping at the store I own a convenience store and when I advertise a price that's what the customer gets no tricks Involved. Even after the cashiers were told to sell them at the price advertised they still refused I won't go back!!!!!
I bought a vape from them and it didn't work. They wouldn't even get me a refund. Worst place ever don't so there
been coming here for 17 years are they are by far the BEST novelty store SLC UT !!!!! thank you guys
new and used. friendly and helpful staff. quality and fashion forward clothing. love the location and there is parking in back
The store does not have a wide selection, went there and was charged twice on my credit card. Went back to the store with my receipt. The lady was extremely rude. She acts like she is doing you a favor. Had to dispute the charge with my bank. Do yourself a favor take your business elsewhere.
The most AMAZINGLY HORRIBLE and insulting customer service I ever have experienced. I was at the Gateway Mall, Sept 1st, Sunday afternoon around 4 pm. Two teenage girls were standing motionless at the cash register, with sour looks on their faces. No greeting. I walked around for about 5 minutes, still no greeting. I even made eye contact and smiled. They stared right back at me, looking bored and angry. What an insult. I would never buy anything here. Walked out without even trying anything on. Looking at the rest of the reviews, I see I am in good company. I wish I could give it negative ten stars.
I absolutely LOVE this store! I've been to every s e x store Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming have to say and this is by far the BEST! I never felt like I was being starred at or judged, with only 2 employees in the store. The AMAZING sales girl (Vikki) chatted with me about everyday matters as well as s e x issues- I felt so comfortable talking with her! I can tell she was HIGHLY educated on each item she suggested to me, what a PRO! :DThis store has something for everyone- boy/boy movies, b d s m equipment, newly wed combo packs, f e t i s h magazines & art books, DVDs of all genres, dancer clothes & shoes, tcross dresser's clothing and accessories, specialty items for 'matured' men & women, education films and literature, and so much more! I HIGHLY suggest this store, this is a true local charm!
I'll admit that Dr.Johns WAS a complete S H I T hole, but after a few years it is deffinately one of the Best adult stores in Salt Lake City. Prices are about the same or a little cheaper than Blue Boutqiue. The store is much nicer, brighter, has more room to move, and doesn't have that disgustiong old people smell like Blue does. Blue Boutique pays their sales girls (no boys) by commision, so these girls will tell you ANYTHING to make you buy an expensive item. Most of them don't even know what they are talking about half the time- they just memorize a script and repeat what they hear others say. The girls at Dr. John's are paid hourly, and will always tell you the truth. They don't over around and repeatly ask, "Finding everything okay?" There are no crazy rules about the dressing room, and it's strictly 18+ so you don't have to worry about crying babies or kids asking you to buy them p0rn, like how it is at Blue BoutiqueDr.John's has come a long way since they first build their SLC store. I highly recommend to go!(Plus the sales girls are much more attractive at Dr. Johns )
Seriously? This "boutique" is a joke. They have Toms. They have jeans. They have wallets. They have the most HORRENDOUS customer service in the West. The high school rejects that work there are the most pretentious girls to ever work retail. Do you want a size of shoe? Well, you have to go to the counter, break up their gossip fireside, and beg them to get it for you. Dressing room? Maybe if you're famous. It's apparently asking too much to get human decency out of the staff. DO NOT waste your money here. There are so many other places to shop.LATEST EXAMPLE: Most recently, my 18 month old daughter and I went in to get her a pair of baby Tom's, because Nordstrom didn't have the color we wanted. Biggest mistake as a consumer. While we were looking, I let my daughter out of her stroller, so we could try on the shoes. While we were waiting (forever) for the clerk to come back, my little one grabbed some flip-flops off the bench and dropped them on the ground. Cheap, boring flipflops. A short haired brunette twit ran over (fastest I've ever seen any staff in that place move) and yelled, "Oh My GOD! We can't have her doing that to the merchandise! What is she doing!?!?!?!?" Seriously? Let's have a discussion about proportionate response. She made us feel totally unwelcome, and between her rolling her eyes, and sighing so the store next door could hear, I was mortified. Not at my daughter's behavior, but at her reaction. Needless to say, NEVER AGAIN. Don't waste your time or money there. Nothing is worth being treated like second class to these girls.
