Rude and unprofessional

Lisa Perry NP treated me rudely during my appointment. I told her that I was suffering with a number of symptoms, and her answer was that I would just have to learn to live with them. She withheld my prescription for medication until I had a mammogram. (This is not ethical practice.) Even after my mammogram was normal, she never bothered to call in my prescription. I loved Dr. Jones, but she left the practice. I will not be returning to this doctor.

I have been going to Genis women care since june for my prenatal care the doctors are wonderful and the front desk as well as the medical assistants are very friendly when i call with a common question they return my call in a timely manner (15) mins the most when i go in the office they assist me very well ask me how im doing feeling and more seems like they are very concern with how I'm doing with my pregnancy I highly recommend Genis Women Care , I have not met all the doctors but i did meed Dr.Fedei and she is a very sweet loving lady as well as the midwife and nurses.......

NOT FRIENDLY OR PATIENT FOCUSED - I run my own daycare facility which makes it difficult to take a day off. I made an appointment with Genis Women’s Care OB-GYN for my first prenatal checkup after finding I was pregnant and made arrangements to take the day off. I scheduled a dental appointment in the morning and the prenatal checkup for the afternoon, since I have to fit in all of my personal business when I make arrangements to take a day off.



Genis is about 40 miles from my home and my dental apppointment ran a little over so I was running late and made a call to Genis at 1:35 pm to let them know I was on the way and would be about 10 minutes late. The receptionist just advised that I was scheduled for a 2 pm appointment and wanted me to be there at 1:45 to fill out paperwork. I checked in at the receptionist at 1:55 pm. The receptionist said with a definite attitude, “Well, this is how it is. You were supposed to be here to fill out paperwork at 1:45 pm. The midwife was the only one on duty and has been called for a delivery, so you have missed your appointment and will have to reschedule.”



If the midwife was the only one on duty and had been called out for a delivery, why didn’t I receive a call canceling my appointment, instead of being accused of missing my appointment when the midwife was already gone? It seems my calling ahead to let them know I was going to be a little late was a convenient excuse for Genis to shift the blame for having to cancel my appointment without taking responsibility for it.



It seems that Genis doesn’t need new patients, or at least that the administrative staff is not supportive, and therefore does not feel a responsibility to be considerate and accommodating to those who choose their services.



Fortunately I have found a group of doctors with staff who are more considerate of the patient’s situation and who strive to work with the patient during the joyful period of pregnancy and childbirth. I felt it was important to share my story with others. My first impression of Genis was that they are inconsiderate and arrogant and not patient focused. I am grateful to have discovered the true nature of the support staff prior to investing my trust in them for the care of myself and my baby.

Awful service at the front, bad care in the back. Dr. Jones was wonderful, but the other two doctors and np here were not very good. I had to wait 2 hours past my appt time for one appointment, 1.5 hours past on another. The doctor who did my initial prenatal appointment was rude, hurt me pretty bad during the physical (enough that it was painful to walk for a few days) and didn't ask me anything or check to see what I even knew about pregnancy. Granted, I already have a daughter, but my second pregnancy was almost 4 years later. He spent maybe 5-8 minutes in there at the most for my initial prenatal visit (including the physical and yes, I timed it on my watch). My other ob (from my pregnancy with my daughter) spent almost 30 minutes making sure I knew the ins and outs. Given a choice, I say avoid this place unless you can only see Dr. Jones and you are prepared to deal with the front desk.

I HAVE HAD A VERY DIFFICULT PREGNANCY AND IT HAS BEEN CONSIDERED HIGH RISK BY MOST DOCTORS I HAVE SEEN. THE FIRST DOCTORS OFFICE I FOUND THAT WOULD SEE ME WERE TERRIBLE AND I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET WITH THE CARE I RECEIVED FROM THEM, SO I CALLED AROUND UNTIL I FOUND A DOCTOR THAT COULD HANDLE MY SPECIFIC HIGH RISK CASE. GENIS WOMENS CARE HAS BEEN VERY NURTURING AND UNDERSTANDING TO ME, THEY MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOME AND AREN'T JUDGEMENTAL. I HAVE GOTTEN EXCELLENT CARE FROM MY DOCTOR HERE AND ANY TIME I HAVE CALLED WITH AN EMERGENCY OR A QUESTION THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO ME WITHIN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY DON'T BRUSH YOU OFF OR MAKE YOU FEEL STUPID WHEN YOU ASK COMMON QUESTIONS AND THEY ACT GENUINELY CONCERNED WHEN SOMETHING ISN'T LOOKING RIGHT. THEY HAVE FOLLOWED UP WITH ME EVERY VISIT WITH ANY PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD PREVIOUSLY. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THE GENERAL OFFICE AND STAFF AS WELL AS MY DOCTORS AND THE TREATMENT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THEM. I WOULD DEFINITLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE AND ANY OF THE DOCTORS IN THIS PRACTICE FOR ANY FEMALE NEEDS-ESPECIALLY PRENATAL CARE AND ANYTHING HIGH RISK.
