Folk City Tattoo

Around 9- 9:30 a.m., one of tattoo artists came around and made a video of all the ppl in line. He informed everyone waiting in line, that only the first 100 people would be able to get tattoos. Anyone after 100, would be given a $20 off coupon for a tattoo. Everyone understood that we would not find out our number until the sign in list was passed around. Luckily, my friends and I made the list. Then another employee came around and told everyone, that when they signed their names they would be able to leave.. My brother decided to stay, and wait it out until his name was called. I was informed that they more than likely would not get to my name until 6:30 p.m. I told the man that I was fine with that. Around 6p.m., I got a phone call from my brother stating that they would no longer be taking individuals and they would be issuing out coupons to the remaining ppl. They lied and did not keep their word to all the ppl that was promised they would receive a tattoo. You had people, like my brother, wait around in the sun all day hoping to get a tattoo, just to be told he wasted his time. Then, for ppl to make a complainant, and then the lady at the counter say, “Well you should have spent the night, so you could have been first in line,” is freaking ridiculous. First, this event needs to be more organized. If you know there is a chance that everyone will not be able to get a tattoo, you need to state that on your Facebook page when you first advertise it. Then ppl will decide whether they want to take the chance of attending. Keep your word!! If you say as long as you made the list before reaching 100, you will receive your tattoo, then do just that. Your employee stated that the shop would not close until 9p.m. If you all ran out of time and was unable to tattoo anymore ppl, then ppl should have been able to come back another day and get a tattoo at the same price. Treat your customers right, just like you would want to be treated.

I went there with my husband and cousins and we were all treated great and the service was amazing!!!!!! All 4 of us got inked and we all were extremely satisfied with them!

Very unprofessional staff nicki is incredibly rude to multiple people I saw in the store her work looks great but I can't move forward as a customer and give someone a lot of money when they are so rude and unprofessional.

Asked for an illustrative piece (and showed picture) and artist told me he knew exactly what I wanted and ran to the back to sketch the outline. The outline should have been created prior to the appt. but I mistook arrogance for talent. Long story short tattoo looks like a middle schooler drew it and now I'm paying 200 per laser session to have it removed. Thanks, Nate. Trust me, go elsewhere.

Davey sheets was really good and it healed perfect. Reasonable price for the quality of art I received. I'd never go anywhere else

I went to there Hampton location and I have to say they are very unfriendly. All I wanted was a very simple tattoo but the guy they gave me had no confidence plus as I was getting done the other artist walked in to look at what he was doing and they whispered and I over heard how they felt he wasn't doing a good job. They talked to him like he was there apprentice. Had to go back to get touched up which was free but it still looks like the ink isnt going to last long at all. Ive had it for a short time and it already looks faded. My wife was there with me and tried to talk to someone about her getting another tattoo but they guy kept telling her no I want to do it like this and she wanted to keep it small but he wanted to push into something huge and multiple appointment tattoo. She felt like he would do whatever he wanted despite what she wanted to get. Their counter people were very rude didn't want to talk ignore people till they want to actually give them money. I will never go back cause for what should be a high end tattoo parlor it felt like a cheap shop that only does what they want and don't care about there customers.

TERRIBLE!!! They kept my 100.00, and didnt try to help me reschedule because of a real family emergency i had come up. The owner seemed very happy he was getting my 100.00 for ZERO work.

About two weeks ago I had a tattoo done by Rick Casey. My experience was wonderful from start to finish, and my tattoo healed up perfectly. They are extremely talented artists and enjoyable people. I was charged no more than the limit I mentioned up front, which was extremely reasonable considering the artwork I received. Definitely my favorite tattoo shop I have ever been to.
