The Establishment is older but going through extreme renovation...! It will be a very nice place !The rooms are tastefully remodeled..., The ambiance is main street..., The location is excellent!I recommend it to Universal Studios Visitors...!
Very nice rooms great staff
The pictures online looked pretty nice and modern...the room itself was decent, but the rest of the hotel has not been renovated...it was very dilapidated, I was sure I was going to get stuck in the elevator
UPDATE June 20 2013Below-review is obviously owner HOTEL FREAK, as last month, 2 prostitutes (complete with LAPD raid @ 1 AM, drug paraphenalia, fights, people coming and going @ all hourd @ night-nothing's changed. "Painting"'s not same as remodeling, place is STILL an infested hellhole. the pictures barely tell the story. How this place is still open is beyond me. It's a disgusting excuse for prison, let alone Motel. As a neighbor for near a decade, I've witnessed people having s#x in vehicles in the parking lot, illegal film crews (including p@rn...) drunks yelling in the parking lot @ 4 AM, fights, and other "special events" that have sealed the Motel's reputation as a place to film "seedy scenes", or grab a pr@stitute and some drugs, and have at it. As a bonus, the owner bangs a gardening tool into the cracks of the parking lot from dark to 10 PM or whenever we yell at him to stop, keeping neighbors awake with the constant TINK of him busily accomplishing...nothing. (If he spent that time painting, or say doing laundry (something we DON'T see them do) the place would look like the Cheteau Marmont). This establishment is truly the scourge of Ventura Blvd, and an embarrassment to the city. With the Days Inn literally steps from this rotting, infested, Black Hole of Property Values, I can't understand why anyone would risk their health staying here, or support the slumlords who own the place.
The hotel is a nice place to stay for a good price. It's in the heart of downtown and is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The motel is in the process of being remodeled and seems like it will become a very nice place to stay for a great price.
Hotel is in excellent location, freindly staff, decent amenities, good price! A good spot to stay for outgoing tourist that are on budget. Hotel also offers Universal tickets good for 2 visits. We stayed in their Connecting Suite that sleeps six people and it is a great value ith 2 tv's and 2 climate controls etc...There are better properties in the area but be prepared to pay over $150 per night!I recommend!
This is an old and very primitive property good for the local homeless!
The oldest and worst kept property on Ventura Blvd. Do Not Even Go There!
This property is older in architectural design but a lot of visible improvements have been done and rooms are very clean and in good order. Hotel location is AAA in walking distance to Universal Studios Hollywood & CityWalk. Parking is well lit at night just a little tight, and the staff is well above average for a small property.Overall it is a good value in walking distance to Univesal Studios Hollywood.
