PARKING IS FREE ITS IN THE BACK, LOCATED RIGHT ON VENTURA, THIS PLACE IS MY FAVE SUSHI SPOT IN THE VALLEY. THE SUSHI IS ALWAYS FRESH AND THEY HAVE A GREAT VARIETY. THE ROLLS ARE SOOOO GOOD! THE PLACE IS NEVER OVER CROWDED, AND ITS A SMALL CUTE INTIMATE SPOT FOR DINNER OR A A DATE. I GO HERE ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK WITH MY BF OR MY FRIENDS AND EVERYONE LOVES THE SUSHI.

Yen Sushi is awesome! The Philadelphia Roll is the best I have ever had!! I also recommend the chicken teriyaki and the spicy tuna on the rice cakes. The only thing you have to watch out for is that the prices are steep! My husband and I go there for dinner and the bill is always at least $70...not including tip. A little steep for the valley, but the food is worth it!

It's not much to look at from the outside, set in a mini mall-esque environment but the decor inside is darling, even if the chairs and benches are a bit uncomfortable. What the heck - it makes me sit up straight and helps my posture!
But once inside, WOW!!!! I love their sushi. Try the Albacore Sashimi appetizer with crispy onions. Definitely don't miss the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. Their fish is FRESH and the service is really lovely and attentive. I've rarely had to wait on one of my weekly visits, but the restaurant is small so I imagine it must get crowded for the dinner hour. The lobster roll is not to be missed either.
There are a lot of special rolls too - all are delicious and creative.
Definitely put YEN on your list for great sushi and service.

The restaurant looks quaint and peaceful on the inside, kinda like the zen garden feel most sushi places shoot for. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, and an interesting contrast to the strip mall/busy Boulevard exterior. They have a nice selection of sake, which they display elegantly behind the sushi bar. There are pillows on the booths along the walls, and if I had more sake, I would have tried to start a pillow fight. Service was pretty good, and the food was fresh and aesthetically presented, but the bill was about $10 too much. You could probably get more for less somewhere else.

Great decor and ambiance. Intimate but not claustrophobic. Great to take your significant other or for a group of friends. Excellent service -- attentive and friendly. But the sushi takes the prize. Fresh, nice portion sizes, and absolutely delish. Practically any type of roll you can dream up is on the menu. And it was all good, especially the spicy tuna ""ball"" wrapped in avocado. The salads were also fantastic. I expected it to be much more expensive than what it was. Will definitely be back.

It's my favorite sushi place in Los Angeles. I am very picky about sushi. This restaurant is still not that popular yet but it definitely will since it is still new. There is no waiting line. Food is fresh. Prices are reasonable. People are friendly. The interior design is cool. Parking is easy. Very close to Century City Westfield Mall. So it's a nice place to eat before movies or after shopping. Lots of choices of different kinds of rolls. Whenever I think of sushi - this is definitely the only place I will go.

very ordinary menu and preparation; uncomfortable hard wooden chairs; and sub-standard service at $30 per person ... I've been here 3 times... when it was brand new & 2 other times to give this 'local' place a chance - wanna like it... but I'm not going back.

Not what I'd call a great sushi restaurant unless you're a midwest soccer mom who just landed in the valley. Located in a post-modern mini-mall that houses a variety of shops, this is the type of place where the sauce in many of the rolls is a generous portion of mayo.

We can't believe such a great sushi place has landed in this location. The hungry roll is amazing... the sashimi is fresh... and we love the crispy rice with tuna. The chefs are very friendly and the dark wood decor is extremely cool. The best part is, they're open until 11, after everyone else has closed!

I thought it was deliciuos.Sushi is created with care, the spicy crunchy tuna was delicous, and the fried green tea ice cream was so light and tasty!! they put rasberry sauce on the side, which makes it all the better :) definitly would recommend this one- for the ice cream alone!
