I've heard from several people that all Kriza salon's have an extremely high turn over rate... there is a reason. The owner's have no idea what they are doing and try to be manipulative with their employees. I've actually had my best friend quite his job there because they don't treat their stylist with respect. I tried to give them a chance and applied for a position there (close to my house) as a salon coordinator... which which advertised on a website, CLEARLY. After wasting my time to go in for an interview for a basic receptionist position, which was ACTUALLY what they were hiring, I decided to never return & to inform everyone on the owner's poor business practices. Did they really think that trying to manipulate people to get them in to apply for a job that wasn't actually available would work? Maybe on people who are slow but usually people don't want that type of employee...
All in all, I've known clients, stylist's and employees that despise this place.... and now I know why.
Aveda should really reconsider allowing them to represent their company...

You have to get your haircut here. TRUST ME-ask for Richard Long. I lived in Vegas at one point, and STILL made appointments with Richard- came in for the weekend to get my hair done. His skills are RIDICULOUS. Plan to be there 1 and a half- 2 hours... he takes his time with you- practically cuts one hair at a time. You will fall in love with this salon. He does perfect hair cuts on men and women... my boyfriend is a loyal customer now. And the staff is always super friendly. Lots of free parking in the back. I can't say enough good things.

I would not recommend this salon to anyone!! the location is great , but thats about it!!!! the management is terrible, they MANIPULATE their poor stylist and I went and saw Hita for a hair cut and color and my hair is destroyed. I had to go somewhere else for a redo.

I work at the Kriza salon and in defense for the Management Team/Owners I just wanted to say that atmosphere is great and I love working there. The owners have been there for me and are are great support team.
They just want their employess to be successfull and are sending us to classes frequently.
They are very fair and honest people I have worked with.
Yes they are very particular when it comes to customer service and making the customer happy, but there is nothing wrong with that!
I appreciate I have a job for a great company who cares. Some people just don't get it!
People just don't have anything better to do than write negative reviews.
I love everyone I work with. Thanks to The owners and mangement team of Kriza
TRUST ME :) TRY US OUT YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED

If you want a great colorist Hita is the one! Love, love, love my Highlights. She is so busy and she still took the time to sit and listen to my needs. They also give you a hand scrub when you are waitng with the foils in your hair. Before you leave they touch up your make up. I also noticed that they were all hepling each other. Great team you will not be dissapointed. Oh and to top it off the price for the work they do is very reasonable.

I have been going to Kriza for about a 2 years now and wanted to share with you that 3 stylist left at around the same time. Coincidentally, the three reviews were written on the same day. I can only imagine who wrote them.
I love going to kriza and I like the team there including the owners. Unfortunatley the owners are not always there since they bounce around several other businesses they own and they are the nicest people and stirve for the best customer service.
Try them out you won't be disappointed :)

I have used Aveda products for many years back in North Carolina so when I moved to Los Angeles I was looking to replenish my products and found the Kriza Aveda Salon. I booked a conditioning treatment and just loved it! I just wanted to recomend a great head massage from Marina and will be seeing her for color very soon. The tea served is a nice bonus.

They also offer above and beyond service there....soothing tea as well as hand spa massages with your services. After going to this salon, I seriously could not go anywhere else.

I just visited the studio city location, after always going to the one in the topanga mall. I had a hair emergency and was in the neighborhood. I had the most amazing experience! All of the staff i meant was so great to me i was offered tea to drink and had both my color and cut done. They have different hairdressers that specialize in both of these areas i guess, so they are real experts, plus they only use aveda products which are very safe and very natural and since i am a cancer survivor I need to be extra cautious of the ""chemicals"" i expose myslef too and these products are the safest way to go and feel so amazing in my hair. I thank them so much for the services. I am so very grateful to all of them.

Highly reccommend it. I have been going here for about 2 years.
They girls are a hoot! They have alot of fun. Not a stuck up enviroment. I am comfortable going to any stylist. The owners are great when they are there they always come over and say hi!
AND most of all I leave with great hair too.
Simply great all around. No complaints here!!!

What a hot mess. I'm going to save you the trouble of reading disaster story and simply advise Citysearch users not to have their hair colored at the Studio City, Sherman Oaks or Topanga Kriza salons. I ended up $200 out of pocket with a mess I'm going to have to grow out. Save yourself the money and the heartache.

When I walked into Aveda Kriza for my first time the first thing I noticed is how unhappy the employees seemed. Their front desk people DO NOT resemble any type of beauty and seemed stressed out. I was lucky enough ( the first time) to walk out with a DECENT cut. So... I tried them again... This being six weeks later the stylist i had seen had already moved on to bigger and better things ( employees, especially good stylists do not last there.) They told me that they would take care of me but that I needed to drive to another location "" down the street"" (ps. it's not just down the street) I love Aveda so I figured I would give it another chance. It took the stylist 3 and a half hours to give me highlights and on top of that they had to be re-done because she let the foils leak onto my head and left me with bleach spots. I had spent so much time there that I learned their management is at fault and that they will pretty much hire anyone that can hold sissors
