UH Rainbow Kids in the Sun

Great doctor and facility but the worst receptionist taking appointment calls. Incredibly rude! I expected it to be busy for a Monday morning when calling but I tried for 45 minutes before I got through. Finally someone answered (total attitude in her tone the entire call) attempted to make an appointment and she asked for my daughters insurance card and when I attempted to get it I realized I had left it in the car. So she refused to make my appointment ( I could of given the card at check in) so she asked me to call back. I asked if they could just make the appt and I will bring the card because it took me 45 minutes to finally get through and her response was " sorry it's Monday morning"
Won't be back! A receptionist is a reflection of the whole office image. It's unfortunate one person had to ruin it.

We moved to the area about a year and a half ago. My previous pedaitrician recomended Kids in the Sun. I was consistantly happy with the doctors my children saw. I was however very disappointed with the staff. They were cold and unfriendly as if they didn't like their jobs. It is very difficult to get through on the phones and the phone hours aver very limited. They on 2 occasions lost paperwork I was to pick up to take to a specialist. When I would call the answering service the info wasn't handled proplerly and I wouldn't recieve calls back. I my son has asthma and my daughter has an inherited condition. Those errors simply are not an option. When I decided to leave the practice they wanted to charge me $40 to transfer my records to their new pediatrician and told me "once we recieve the money we legally have 30 days to send the records" I was disgusted. I'm very sad that such good doctiors have chosen the staff they did. It has been 4 months since we left their practice.
