Smogtech Airport

Went in for $50 front wheels alignment. Talk to alignment tech if he could adjust more on CASTER + he said do what I can on the machine.
My steering wheel is straight on the road but pull to right when take hand off.
After hour later truck is done.
Heli came in waiting room.
Told me truck is driving straight now but still pull to right BUT Tech will need to adjust CAMBER and CASTER another day for $90 to correct pulling to right.
The Tech should have told me that will cost extra when I asked about adjusting CASTER +.

DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE !!!!! I only gave the rating a 1/5 because I had too, actual rating "0". ZERO ... My car was in worse condition leaving then it did coming. They did a rush job on my car which ended up causing more damage, and the owner admitted to letting my car leave the lot without finishing the job. The people here are not real mechanics. Poor customer service. If you value your car don't do any repair work with this company. BEWARE!!!!!!

So their ad on Google say $29.75 for a smog check. I call the guy says bring it on in. I ask, do you guys do the free retest? Absolutely he says. We can even do any necessary repairs for you right here. So I drive over abs it's dark. The guy comes out and apologizes, he sent the guys home. He forgot I was on my way. Come back in the morning they will take care of me. Come back the next morning to a different guy, fill him in. No problem, go ahead and wait in the office. Comes in and tells me it didn't pass and the invoice said $74.74. It's $29.99 with a coupon which is still not the $29.75 they have on their ad, but whatever. So I pull up the coupon on my phone and pay the $30. He tells me since my car was recently worked on I needed to drive it more and then being it back in the morning. So I do. Ok it passed. Another invoice. He wants $40. So I tell him when I called the guy told me you guys did free retest. Oh not with the coupon and only if you pay us to do your repairs. I wish I had yelped them. I'm calling bureau of auto repairs

A straight rip off. These people are crooks. I went to them for a simple smog, I even had a coupon from penny saver. I had a feeling my smog was not going to pass but I asked the mechanic if they offered a FREE RETEST. He said I would not need it because my truck would either pass or I would get a 500 towards repair to fix the problem and then it would automaticly pass. So, I did not pass and learned that The 500 dollars that was supose to get sent to a approved repair shop to get things fixed from the government is to hard to qulify for and takes about a month to get approved. In other words it's a long shot to get free repairs. They also charged me $ 30 for LPFET test That I'm not sure what it is for and did not ask me if I wanted or needed it.

So in short I paided them $62 for a smog that I did not pass and a LPFET I did not ask for and false information about the government CAP program (BASICALLY A SCAM). NOW I have to fix repairs on my own, pay for another smog somewhere els. The OWNER and WORKERS are fully aware of the scam they are on people. I have contacted the penny saver and better business breau. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THEM, THEY WILL CHARGE YOU AND TELL YOU ANYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR. ******* sorry for any spelling or grammer errors*****

I am very grateful to the Smog Tech on Airport for working with me and not giving up on my car. After 3 failed smog checks apparently what the issue was was that my intermittent sensor that sits in my intake hose is faulty. If the engine is too cold it won't work right causing the high reading of nox. The guy took time to show me the part and explain in detail what it was doing. In order to pass my smog he had me drive to Manteca to warm up the engine and bring it right back to the shop. Once I did that it passed right away. I will definitly take the time to rate this location on several differnt sites. Thank you so much. You are very knowledgeable and I appreciate your patience.
