On October 2nd 2014 I was scheduled for gallbladder surgery. The schedule was at 9 am however, I ended up in the operating room at 12:52 according to their records. The procedure ended at 14:48 and anesthesia ended at 14:54. During my recovery, Nurse Deborah Schott was rude and impatient, when complained of not feeling well. To which she responded, get ready you are leaving in 10 minutes. I could not believe it. It was about 3:30 about 30 minutes after my surgery. I was not able to move properly or take care of myself. Minutes later she threw clothes on my bed and told me to get ready. When I was not able to dress myself, and asked why? she yelled at me; told me that those were the Doctor’s orders and demanded that I sign the discharge papers, I refused. She called an assistant and they propped me onto a wheelchair and took me to my car where my wife was waiting. Next, they propped me onto my car, I was so unresponsive that my small daughter started to cry. It was about 16:00 PM. barely one hour after my surgery. I did not know what to do, I ended up with severe constipation days later and had to take milk of magnesia and I almost had to call an ambulance because of the pain. I have the hospital records that confirm the timelines I gave. Nurse Schott lied on the records and falsified them, when it said that I was cooperative and when it said I could move independently. At all times I refused to leave because I was not feeling well. This is evidenced also by the absence of my signature on the discharge papers. I refused to be to sign any discharge papers because I was feeling sick.
Furthermore, the records and discharge showed that I was referred to an unknown doctor for my follow up appointment.
I also was able to ascertain from the records that I had high blood pressure at the time and I was never treated or informed about this.
Also, I saw that 2 Sales reps were in the Operating Room, I do not remember signing a release about it and there is no copy in my records.
Damron Hospital in Stockton California is the worst hospital on the face of the planet and I would never recommend a person to go there. They have no
ability to do XRays or MRIs in the ER, and they will let you sit there for hours and never tell you that until the end wasting your time and money going there. And on top of that they're all rude. Do not go there. I broke my leg and they sent me home with no meds nothing and not knowing my leg was broke. Then my husband hit his head and they sent him home with stiches and did not give him an MRI and he kept throwing up and we took him to another hospital and he has a major concussion. So do not go to Damron they are absolutely unreliable.
I had my baby here almost a month ago and I cant explain how awesome everyone was. All my nurses were very nice, patient, and extremely helpful. But Tammy, one of the RNs, is the best nurse ever!!! If it wasn't for her encouragement and patience, I would have ended up with a C section. I got my own room which I loved! The food was really good as well. The only thing that I would say was a downfall was the security being very strict on how many people can come to the room since me and my husband have a huge family and this was the first grandchild from both sides (which was a big deal!! everyone came!) but I know its for security purposes so its understandable. Overall this hospital was great!!!
Quickest and Best Service of Any ER I have ever been to in my life. My daughter were in and out in less than 1 and a half hours. Thanks to all the great people there!!
