Consumer Beware! Brought my car to company based on reviews for Affordable Transmissions and Engines not realizing that company frequently changes name and is listed under Better Business Bureau as Affordable Auto Repair and has other similar complaints. Has also received an F from the Better Business Bureau.We were told by Perry that my son’sNissan Juke needed the Turbo replaced , which was first repair on car since buying it new in 2014. We agreed to have turbo replaced on car which took over a month to do. After finally getting car back we had to take it back to him to check on 2 occasions because check engine light kept coming on. After realizing that Perry wasn’t ethical , prompt or would fix car properly, we took it to Nissan were we purchased car in 2014. We were very surprised when Nissan technician informed us that original engine , which only had 60 thousand miles on it, had been removed and replaced with used engine and the turbo was the problem and needed to be replaced, which we paid Perry to do 4 months ago. We were never told anything was wrong with the engine and needed to be replaced or gave permission for engine to be replaced, we gave permission and paid over 2000 dollars for turbo to be replaced which wasn’t done. We now have to spend another 3000 dollars to replace turbo not to mention not knowing how many miles are on used engine that was put in or how long it is going to last . I called to ask why engine, which was in good condition was removed and Turbo not fixed as agreed , Perry didn’t answer or return any phone calls .

Stay away from this place.
The owner is a very dishonest individual and a thief.
He charged me close to $6k to put an engine in my car and told me it had 30k miles when in reality it had about 120k miles. He also stole my catalytic converter and I almost got into an accident when driving my car back from his shop because his workmanship was horrible.
It took me almost a year ,through litigation, but I I finally got my money back and was able to recuperate my losses.
He keeps changing the name of his business for a reason....
I truly hope the City of Stockbridge, the BBB and Consumer Advocate Services will look into this fraudulent business, in order to stop him from taking advantage of clients.

I love this shop. I was able to get my repairs done in a timely and affordable manner. I reccomend this shop to anyone in need of car repairs. Mr. Smith will get you in and out with great customer service.

I was having a ton of trouble with my transmission. I called quite a few places and the prices I was quoted were ridiculous. Luckily I called Affordable Auto Repair and spoke to Perry who knew exactly what the problem was as soon as I described my issue. He gave me an excellent price and had my car repaired in no time at all! Affordable Auto Repair now has a lifetime customer. I'm only sorry that I didn't find them sooner!

This was probably the BEST experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I had taken my 08 Dodge Charge to another mechanic who completely screwed up just about everything dealing with the engine. And the dealership was telling me I needed a new engine due to a crack in the engine block. I saw a billboard for Affordable Auto Repair and decided to give them a call as a last ditch effort at fixing what was wrong with my car. Mr. Perry explained everything to me and how things worked involving the engine/radiator/etc. I qualified for the financing option which was amazing because I had spent a good bit of money on the last mechanic that didnt have a clue. After my repairs were complete I picked up my car BUT it started overheating on my way home. I called back and Perry had someone out in no time to tow my car back to his shop to fix that issue. He is very professional and passionate about what he does. Ladies.... looking for a mechanic that is not just out to steal your money and fix things unnecessarily because we dont understand....they are a right fit for you! I will definitely keep going back regardless of the distance!

I had transmission issues and the 1st mechanic i took it to was a big scam so i googled and found Affordable Auto Repair and decided to give them a call. I spoke with a guy named Perry and told him about the issues i was having with my transmission. Perry was a huge blessing for me because i was traveling back home to Louisiana and didnt have that much money. Not only did he give me a discount on my transmission but he also fixed a few other things on my vehicle and helped out with other expenses. This was God sent because no other mechanic would have done this for me and my little one. Thank you so much Perry for helping me and my little. And thanks to your workers also. May God continue to bless you so that you may continue being a blessing to others!

I took my car two mechanic one was the dealer then I heard about affordable auto repair and met Perry he took the time and patient to diagnosis the problem. Great personality very professional. He will be my new mechanic. Thanks Perry

EXCEPTIONAL work and professionalism!! Perry, of Affordable Auto Repair has done work on all of my families cars with exceptional performance and no issues. He's always honest about what the car needs and how he can accommodate. Unfortunately, the people on here that's throwing shade at him and his business probably didn't want to listen to his professional expertise in regards to all that their car needed to function properly, and ended up disappointed. I'm certain not with him or his work, but maybe unrealistic expectations. At the end of the day, my experience and the experience of my family has always been professional, honest and Affordable. Thanks Perry for all you do! You're my mechanic for life!��������

This business ought to be shut down for scamming people. He constantly lied and made excuses about when car would be ready and did the old bait and switch trick on me. I was told about an 80,000 engine and ended up with a 102,000 mi. eng..He didn't show auto check paperwork so I don't know what I ended up with. Since then my car has more problems afterwards and he won't take responsible actions for. The BBB told me of 3 complaints in 1year and a F rating. I should've checked him out beforehand. Beware of this scam artist and check him out beforehand unless you want the shadetree, unprofessional treatment that I received.

I cannot understand the shade some people throw and all the negativity. My entire family relies on Affordable Auto for the repairs and maintenance of our vehicles. We have patronized Mr. Perry for years and have had absolutely no problems with our vehicles and the promptness in delivery. As a matter of fact, my son just took his mustang in for an engine replacement and it was ready to go in 10 days which was awesome.



I believe people take their cars to shops and expect the cars to come back brand new. All of our cars are 7+ years old and the problems we have had have always been resolved to our satisfaction. Mr. Perry is a Christian man and we appreciate him. Haters stop with the shade and attitude - its not healthy.

I first met Perry one night as i was towing my recently purchased used boat and trailer from Orlando to Nashville. We were approaching Stockbridge exit when the trailer axle broke! We managed to limp off the interstate into a truck parking area, unable to go any further. We were in a pickle. We started calling place on that exit and then even goodyear commercial unit, but no one was interested in helping us until i contacted Perry! He immediately arranged for a tow truck and tried to find someone around yhat would undertake the repair as it really was outside his normal range of services. Not finding anyone he undertook it himself and had it taken to his shop. After securing the boat, we continued home. Perry kept up informed of his progress and after finding the correct axle, he finished the repair and we returned to pick up the boat. Did a great job at a reasonable price. I am glad i met him that night and can highly recommend him.

March 2nd 2016 as I was headed to work my car started jerking had speeds of 10 mph. Drive to Made in Japan who messed up my vehicle told me I needed another engine$4000.00 plus coils $1000.00. Sitting there praying& crying I googled repair shops near Stockbridge, GA. Affordable Auto Repair was @ the top I called spoke Perry. I asked how much for a new engine. He asked if I really needed a engine. I told him thats what the MIJ says no compression on cyl 2&3. He advised me to tow my vehicle to his shop Mr. Perry and his master techs diagnosed. Said there was compression the engine is fine. They diagnosed I needed a ecm and ignition coils. We talked everyday he explained to me what was going on. Mr.Perry got me an awesome rental car rate. He kept up my spirits made me laugh and reassured me he would fix my truck. AND HE FIXED MY TRUCK SAVED ME OVER $4000.00 +. THIS MAN IS A GODSEND! Epitome of a man that keeps his word Perry KNOWS HIS CRAFT. Thank you Mr.Perry for being an awesome Man!����

Horrible experience. I brought my car in to get check engine light fixed. 2 months later and ~$2000 later I still have a check engine light with the same codes he so called repaired. My car was left extremely dirty from mechanics grease, I have found two tool extensions left under the hood, there are parts/housings missing, my key fob was dropped and broken, there were screws missing from housings they did reinstall, The shop is a wreck! The mechanics are probably good but the management is horrible! No processes, no procedures, no structure, no real estimates prior to repairs, etc... DO NOT go here if you have car issues!!

I just don't understand the negative reviews. I took my Mazda Tribute to Affordable Auto and received nothing but good service from Perry and Zedric. My transmission was replaced and my car is running like a "TOP". I just returned from S. Georgia and the car performed beautifully. They did everything I asked them to do and worked with me financially. I would surely recommend them to my friends and use that shop again.
