Need a dish of an International Meal pot luck supper at my Lutheran church. Was traveling to Stevens Point during the week so of course I thought of the good Polish folk. The yellow Pages listed Ski's Meat Market, which sounded right up my alley. Well not only was it a short drive from where my meeting was held on Eash Hwy 10, but this meat market is very stylish and trendy in appearance. Of course with a name like Ski's they had the polish food I was looking for including peroigy, kieska and rye brod, but they also had a large selection of Italian sausages, pastas, sausages, breats and other specialties. All the meats in the butcher case looked fresh and well trimmed. With 3 or 4 butchers on duty, I believe the meat is moving rapidly through the store. I one special Polish sausage I asked for they didn't have, but the butcher said he had lots of old recipe books and would be happy to give my request a try. I know I'll be visiting again!
