This store is CLOSED. It closed in October 2015. Calls to the store are rerouted to the Fair Oaks store. Just thought I'd save someone the trip to the Sterling location.
Mario at this location is a wonderful young man --- everyone else at this location truly and sincerely need to re-check their Christian values. I purchased a Bible and had it engraved for a prisoner. When I asked the store if they could ship the item, Mario said yes. Manager said no. Other employees said no. In the end, we paid for shipping. The managers debated this matter for over 3 weeks and the Bible still has not been shipped yet no one bothered to alert us of this until the inmate asked if we had sent the Bible. The stores claim to be a Christian organization and their mission statement says that they wish to "What we doLord willing, Family Christian will be a world-impacting ministry and achieve business excellence. We exist to: •Serve and glorify God•Unite people and organizations in caring for orphans and widows•Help people find, grow, share and celebrate their faith in Jesus ChristFamily Christian helps to reawaken and focus your heart and mind, giving you the courage and support you need to be the active hands and feet of God."In this instance, they acted like a prisoner was the plague and refused to ship the Bible even after we paid for the Bible, personalization, and shipping. The excuse, "we only send them to prisons during our fund raiser and you must make a donation to our store." This was crazy. Mario finally took it upon himself to ship the Bible for us. Since we live in Tennessee --- we could not return to Virginia to claim the Bible.
