My husband and I got married in September of 2013. We hired Ammar as our photographer/videographer because we heard good things about his work. We seriously regret making that decision because A.L. Productions has made it a NIGHTMARE to get our photos and videos. First, it took four months just to get our HIGHLIGHT video (a brief 1 minute video) even though he promised he would have it done one week after our wedding. We were patient and waited a month but then we started contacting him and could never reach him. We called the store phone and his cell phone numerous times but the only people we spoke to were his parents. All they did was make more false promises. When we did finally speak to Ammar, he kept lying that he had the video done and uploaded on YouTube and when we said it wasn't, he said he would have it ready by the end of the week. Guess what? It wasn't. We called and called and were, once again, ignored. I decided to go to his studio in Sterling Heights in hopes of speaking to him in person but instead encountered his parents having dinner. I explained why I was upset and that I didn't appreciate being lied to constantly and Ammar's father proceeded to SHOUT at me and told me that they didn't need my business, that I should take my money back and that I was not the only woman who got married. Is that the way a professional business man should conduct business with a customer? His mother had to calm him down and talk some sense into him. She made excuses for Ammar and told me that he was working on 60+ weddings at the moment!!! It all made sense. Being a new and young photographer, he had taken on too much and couldn't handle it. The lies and phone calls continued for months until the video was uploaded in January.A few weeks prior he asked me what song I wanted to use for the video and I chose the Jason DeRulo "Will You Marry Me" song. He chose to upload the finished video with a depressing slow song that sang "Will you still love me when I'm not young and beautiful?" We were not happy with the song but we chose to fix the problem ourselves. I text Ammar and asked him for permission to change the song and upload it to our Facebook and he said he was fine with it. The following week Ammar had filed a copyright infringement on my husband's YouTube account preventing him from using his account for his own business. It has been TWO months and after multiple attempts to contact him and get the issue resolved, he has yet to respond and/or take off the infringement. It has been 6 months since our wedding and we have yet to receive our wedding video. He said it won't be ready for another month....but I'm expecting two months at the very least. I won't lie.....the photos were beautiful. Would I do this all over again for the photos. DEFINITELY NOT! It takes quite a bit to make my husband and I angry and A.L. Productions has done that multiple times over the last 6 months. Do yourself a favor......spare yourself the headaches and go with a different photographer. It's not worth it. P.S. They ask for the full amount UP FRONT. We weren't comfortable with that at all but they wouldn't take no for an answer. I guess when you have all the money.....you can take as long as you want on a project, right? =/
