Sweet Thing Bakery in Statesville, NC left a VERY BAD taste in my mouth!I called for a wedding consultation and scheduled an appt. The owner, Preston asked me to email a pic of what I wanted and how many guests. I immediately sent an email with ALL of my wedding info including my wedding date. Later that day he emailed me & asked that I call him ASAP, so I did. I didn't get a response for 3DAYS and when I called the bakery his assistants answering the phone said he was too busy to return my phone call or reply by email, but she would take my name and number AGAIN. Finally Preston (the owner) gets on the phone with a nasty tone of voice and attitude and asks me my wedding date (like I was bothering him) and I told him and he says "oh I'm out of town that weekend." I asked if he read the email that I sent three days ago and he said he did! I told him I included that info in my email three days ago and it was discussed over the phone when he scheduled my consultation. Basically, he knew he wasn't doing business the week leading up to my wedding, but he was too busy to call or email me this information as a courtesy so I could make other arrangements. Poor customer service doesn't begin to describe my experience with the owner and staff of Sweet Thing Bakery, but I'm glad I didn't find this out the day of my scheduled consultation after driving 2 hours from Raleigh to Statesville.
