Bob, the owner, diagnosed my motor home problem in a couple of hours after two other places had told me my transmission was my problem. Instead of my being stranded in Statesville (already had been here over the whole weekend after being towed to Camping World...who said it was transmission and they could not fix it.) for an even longer time, Bob had the part....a whole emergency brake system...overnighted. He plans to have me back on the road in two days compared to what others had said. I trusted him and he came through.
Sold a car that in less than a week needed a radiator then a catalyst converter. That when I was told the engine was no good. This guy wouldn't return calls and when confronted said the car was fine when he had it. This guy is a crook stay clear.
DO NOT GO HERE. The business owner lied to me and I now have to come up with $2k to fix a problem that he kept secret and hid from me, the buyer. The business owner turned off the check engine light on a $4700 car and sold it to me "as is" I had a mechanic check it out because TWO DAYS after I drove the car off the lot, the check a vine light and IMA light turned on. The mechanic verified that they had been turned off beforehand to make and illegal sale. This is a slimy business and make sure to CHECK any car he tries to sell you BEFORE buying it!!! This picture is from two days after I bought the car. The mechanic was in disbelief that Castillo Auto Sales was still in business after I told him I'd only bought the car two days prior.
Known these guys since High School, I am 54 years old. They do good work at a fair price and stand behind it. Have had them tell me on several occasions that I could skip or delay a repair if I did not have or want to spend the money. I trust them with all auto repair work.
I bought a 2013 Escape from Germain and even 2 years later, they are still providing great service. Lonnie Burgess continues to be the reason I keep going back. There was a small recall and he showed up at my office to pick it up and even arranged a rental car. Lonnie is hands down the best! I had already been pre-approved for a new car loan through my bank when I visited Germain Ford of Statesville on a Saturday morning. My goals for that day were to look at the new models, get a offer for my trade-in, and price to take back to my bank. I had no intention on buying a car that day. I was pleased when my salesman Don Scott immediately appeared to greet me. I explained to him the purpose of my visit on that fine morning. Don was very friendly, not pushy at all, and immediately began to show me the vehicles and discussed pricing. After a test drive he had an appraisal ready for my trade-in. Don then asked if he could generate numbers that I would be happy with, would I be interested in purchasing that day. I said, "Sure", thinking there was no way they would beat my bank's interest rate. Boy was I wrong. After a few minutes Don came back with a 0.0% APR for the life of the loan. Although shocked, I kept waiting for the hidden cost or term which would send me out the door and back to the financial institute of my choice. Thankfully, that moment never came. There were no hidden fees, no extras, no add-on, no tricks, no BS whatsoever. Everyone was super friendly and honest. They gave me a fair deal on my trade-in and a price on the new vehicle that I felt very satisfied with. Granted, I came in with good credit, so results may vary on interest rates but I would highly recommend Don Scott and Germain Ford if you are in the market for a new vehicle.
DO NOT use this company, they cheated me. I took my car to them on July 1 and got a estimate on July 2 paid it in full on the 3rd, they told me that they would start the job on Wed. afternoon but it would be finished on the 5th due to that they were closed the 4th. Called them on Friday the 5th and they said that they ran into problems and that the car wouldn't be done until Monday the 8th so when I called then they said that the car would be done by noon. When I called at 2 pm they said the the part didn't come in until that morning, what part held them up the spark plugs, the wires, or the gasket, what auto repair shop doesn't have any of this in there shop, what auto repair shop has to send out for these parts. That it wouldn't be done until Tuesday at noon. So I called Tue at 11:15 and they said that the car was done and that it had been done since Monday. When I went and got the car they didn't even do the job that they said that they were going to do. I approved them to change spark plugs and to put a new head gasket in, but the bill said that they did spark plugs, spark plug wires and a valve gasket. WOW the only job that I approved was the spark plugs, I didn't approve the wires or the valve gasket they didn't even do the head gasket. $485.00 for spark plugs and used spark plug wires and a valve gasket, and the car still leaks oil. Having to take my car to another mechanic to see what was done and what wasn't done. BEWARE THIS PLACE WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NOT DO THE WORK THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO DO. I am not working and I had to borrow the money to have my car fixed. The worst thing about this company is that they didn't even communicate with me, they took my money and then took their time knowing that I had no transportation they had my car for 9 days for what spark plugs, used wires and valve gasket.
Unfriendly and unprofessional lady staff.... Nice cars, but because of the staff... I would go somewhere else.
