        About Search Results

YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

          Tips & Advice

In what industries is metal fabrication most commonly used?

Metal fabrication is commonly used in a wide range of industries, including transportation, air handling, food processing, material handling, general fabrication, construction, shipbuilding, aerospace, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and power generation. It's used in the air handling industry to craft many products, such as air conditioning units, heat exchangers, and filtration boxes; and it's used in the food processing industry to create aluminum and stainless steel components with food-grade finishes. In the transportation industry, metal fabrication is used to create items such as aftermarket vehicle modification kits.

What are the most common products produced through metal fabrication?

Metal fabrication is used to make a wide variety of commonly used products, including cutlery, hand tools, metal combs, metal decks, platforms, and handrails; large tanks, boilers, and shipping containers;, such as handles, locks, keys, latches, and chains;, as well as  screws, nut, bolts, racks, shelves, hooks, and wire baskets.

          Types of metal fabrication

          • Cutting uses tools such as saws, lasers, water jets, and plasma torches to cut metal.
          • Folding employs a brake press to create creases in metal.
          • Machining is where a tool, such as a lathe, is used to strip metal from a piece of material.
          • Punching uses a punch and a die to create holes in metal.
          • Shearing is the process in which sheet metal is cut into smaller pieces.
          • Stamping is when material is punched to create a raised portion.
          • Welding is used to fuse two pieces of metal.

          What is metal fabrication?

Metal fabrication is  where metal is crafted to create structures or machines. The metal is cut using tools, such as band saws, laser cutters, CNC machines, and burn tables. Next, the metal is shaped using tools, such as punches and dies, and the various metal parts that have been created are assembled and welded into a final product. The metal is worth more after processing than it was prior to fabrication. What is the difference in between welding and metal fabrication? Metal fabrication is more comprehensive than welding. Welding is when  two pieces of a material, such as metal or glass, are permanently fused. Metal fabrication often includes welding, die cutting, finishing, hydroforming, shrinking, stamping, and stretching.

How can you find healthy food options at a restaurant?

There are many ways to find and select healthy food options at restaurants. Many menus will clearly identify healthier options, but most are going to be common-sense decisions. Avoid heavy, fatty, fried, or sugary foods, and maybe ask for creamy sauces and salad dressings to be served on the side. Lighter foods, like salads or vegetable dishes, are typically healthy options (depending on what is in them). Talk to your server for healthy options on or off the menu.

Do all restaurants offer specialty food options, like vegan and gluten free?

No, all restaurants do not offer specialty food options. However, as people become more health conscious, many restaurants adapt their menu to accommodate more requests and healthier choices, like gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. No place is required to have those options; it’s really a business decision on the restaurant’s part. Know your options before going in to ensure you have the best possible selection and experience.

Is it generally acceptable to make substitutions when ordering?

This is always a tricky situation. Yes, you can usually make substitutions (unless noted otherwise), within reason. If you have food allergies, talk to your server to get clarity on safe menu items, but don’t be that person that takes 20 minutes to order with 50 questions. Want mashed potatoes instead of salad? No sauce or extra sauce? Need gluten-free options? Of course these are reasonable requests, so make those within reason. Some restaurants will accommodate off-menu items, so ask about those, too.

How to select the right restaurant to fit the occasion

To select the right restaurant for your event , start with the occasion and number of guests and a budget. Having 25 guests will eliminate some places right away, while others might even have party rooms available. Or are you looking for a quiet romantic spot to propose (or break up!)? That will eliminate places geared toward kids and families. You can find any and all options by going online. Make sure to plan as far ahead as possible so you can get a reservation. Some places can be very hard to get into, especially if you have a large party or need special accommodations.

How should you make a wine selection?

You can ask your server or sommelier (the staff wine expert) for recommendations.  If you want to be fancy, and who doesn’t, you can pair your wine with your meal. Traditionally, lighter wines like roses or chardonnays pair with lighter fare, like fish or vegetable dishes; and darker reds, like cabernet or merlot, pair with heavier dishes like steaks or chops. The truth is that the right wine for you or your meal is the one you like best. Just don’t put ice in your wine glass, that’s just not cool.

What is the proper amount to tip a server at a restaurant?

Traditionally, in the United States, it has been customary to tip 15 percent for good service and 20 percent  for really good service. Of course if the service is awful, you have the option of leaving nothing at all. At most restaurants, tipping is not part of your dining obligation and, therefore, you are free to tip whatever amount you like. Some restaurants factor the tip into the actual bill, especially if you have a large party. Tipping isn’t typically done in many other countries, so know the local customs.

The food is pricey, but it is always very good. Cocktails are always excellent. The wine list is fairly encompassing. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the service is very wonderful.

So good! When I first moved here I ate here every day. So good! The menu changes daily & you can pick up a take home menu so that you have an idea of what they'll be serving on what day. Everything is good except the fish.

My daughter and I decided to break away from the usual pizza joints we are familiar with. It was like walking into a Subway, we got to choose our dough, sauce and toppings. It was really good. I know we will go back again.
