I used Varrazano Moving when I moved back into my house. They damaged an armoire and told me when the guys were still here that they would send someone to fix it. When I called they said they were fully insured. Called back a few days later to see what was going on with my claim when they told me that they were not going to fix it and they were going to give me a check for $75 dollars because they said they were only liable for $0.30 a pound! After I was hung up on by their worker John 3 times I decided to I am going to take them to small claims court. Never in my life have I been treated so terribly! I was more than cooperative and over looked many things. They dropped my dryer off the truck. I didn't say anything because it still worked.

My experience with Verrazano moving has been nothing shy of wonderful. They are professional, punctual, courteous and extremely focused and therfore careful of your belongings.. They have moved my charity three times already . They have climbed three flights of steps with no elevator, nine rooms of furnture was moved and stored without a scratch. They have done all this in the name of charity because of the injured children my charity helps. This is a wealth of weight in in character and intengrity. I have reccommend them to many people and have only had praise of thier articulate moving experience.

I have moved many times in my life in various parts of the country and have never encountered such horrible service. My mother and her husband were moving stuff from his place in Brooklyn down to their home in South Carolina. I helped them try to find competent movers for a good price.
Verrazano Moving (also known as Father & Son) said that they would move their stuff at a flat rate $61 per 100 lbs. We booked the move through John about 2 weeks ago and the move was scheduled for yesterday, June 29th between 11-2 pm. My mom and her husband (who is currently in a wheelchair) waited in the house with no air conditioning and the mover never arrived. She called to see what happened and they said they would be there between 4-6 pm that same day. They never showed up. We called again and they said the would 100% come today (June 30th) between 9-11 am.
We called at 9 am to confirm (again) that they would be coming. We spoke to Sean who was the nastiest person I have ever encountered. Sean told my mother that ""SHE picked the busiest day of the month to move."" Meanwhile, we actually were quite flexible on the move-date and it was scheduled for yesterday, not today. My mom asked if they would 100% be arriving in the next two hours, his response ""Well, you know, nothing in life is guaranteed. I could get hit by a bus tomorrow."" I kid you not, that is what he said.
My mom responded that they were waiting in a hot house with two kids and her husband was in a wheelchair. Sean's response: ""everyone has a sob story.""
This place must be making hand over fist if they think it okay to treat people this way. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
So, my mom waited until 4 pm and prayed they would show up. They did not. She ended up renting a U-Haul, packing it up herself, and driving it down to South Carolina. I'm seriously considering filling a small claims action against this company.

I've moved many times and been burned before. Called many companies but got the most information from them and they asked the most questions about my home. Got several estimates anyway, and they were right in the middle. The estimator was very polite and not pushy, one guy kept calling for days hounding, asking if I made up my mind yet. I definitely made the right choice, nicest movers, quick, polite, would highly recommend them.
Get the binding estimate, it's a free service and you know exactly what you're paying upfront.

I read the first review and believe me, the ones who wrote it are the true scammers. I wouldn't doubt it was written by one of their competitors. They have been moving my friends, family and co workers for years. Honest, reliable and I have never had a problem. The last time I moved the covered my front door, the door jams, and shrink wrapped my light sofas. If your moving you would be stupid not to call them, see for yourself. They are great movers and nice guys. I requested and GOT the same guys who had moved me 6 1/2 years ago. That last review was fake!!!!Call them if you don't you might end up with the guy who wrote the above review.

First they lost our reservation. Then they stalled for time during the trip from starting point to destination. The move was unprofessional and unskilled. Things were broken, skuffed, scratched, and damaged. Then they failed to provide crucial services that had been promised.
They charged us nearly $300 OVER the original ""binding estimate.""
THEN, they held a piece of our furniture hostage, demanding an ADDITIONAL $100 cash!
When we refused, they physically threatened us and members of our family, and they ASSAULTED one family member!
We had to pay them just to get them to leave us alone!
THIS IS NOT A JOKE OR AN EXAGGERRATION!
THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
