Manhattan Style Salon here in Staten Island!

General Info
For more than a decade, Ziada has been the mastermind behind some of the most fashionable women in New York. Her sense of humor and veracity make for an experience all to itself. Ziada has made a name paying superior attention to both the inside and outside of a woman's head. Hair, she believes, should be the glamorous extension of who you are inside. Since opening Salon H20 Ziada transformed the once run down space of Hylan Blvd into an alive, festive place worthy of a models¿ photo shoot. While she has studiously avoided creating anything that could be called a signature cut, Ziada nonetheless strives to give all her clients the same thing: a clean, warm, modern look that melds the glamour and grace of uptown with all the youth and vitality of downtown. That's her perfect formula.

Unprofessional - Poor Results - Totally Dissatisfied

After having this salon recommended to me, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience was an extremely poor one. The staff and management do not understand good customer service nor what being a professional entails. They think that knowing how to cut and style hair should be enough. What I received was a horrible haircut -- lopsided and uneven. Never had I been to a salon where I was in and out of the chair in 30 minutes. I felt that the hairstylist was uninterested in providing me with suggestions and just wanted to do as little as possible. Obviously, the results can attest to this. When I got home, I saw that the haircut was poor. When I called the salon to address this issue, I was not able to speak to a person live, but left a message on the answering machine. No one from the salon had the courtesy to return my call -- neither the hairstylist, nor the Owner. I called, again, the next day, and the Owner answered. I told her that my haircut was uneven and that I was not satisfied with the results. She was very defensive and insinuated that I was lying, without actually calling me a liar. I was told, ""If you were unhappy, why did you leave?"" I was also told that she never received any complaints before, and didn't understand why I would have one. (I find that very hard to believe.) I responded with telling her that ""I don't have eyes in the back of my head so I could not tell at the time. I only noticed it when I got home (and it was very noticeable), since I was rushed out of the salon."" Zaida, the Owner, was totally disinterested in helping me. Apparently, the staff takes on the attitude of owner. I was insulted and frustrated. They are only interested in taking your money. This is the worst example of customer service that I have ever been the recipient of. They need to take a course in developing their customer service and people skills, if they want repeated business from their clients, especially first-time clients. It's not enough these days to only know how to cut and style hair. Salons are a dime a dozen. Never had I receved so much pushback. In my mind, the customer is always right and they should have apologized and then be willing to fix the problem. a result, I will have to find another hair salon to correct their unprofessinal work and incur another cost. My recommendation to anyone thinking about trying this Salon would be to stay away from this place! The Owner has failed to realize that they are not the only Salon in town. Clients expect to receive quality results and proper attentiveness when they pay for a service. They also expect the Salon to stand behind their work and make things right. When this does not happen (as in my case), clients will go elsewhere!!!!
