I can't believe how warm and kind the workers at the 120 Anderson Ave. S.I. NY are...they are never too busy to help their members and volunteers who have any problems...the Center is so clean and the workers are very friendly, who like to help those in need...plus all the different activities that are available for their members...and speaking of members, they are very warm and caring for their fellow members...who love to help each other as well as having trips to different places, and helping those who may need a little help on trips and outings, so they too can enjoy the center...as for me..I don't want to go anywhere else ...I just love this center, and all the members, and the great staff...and P.S. they serve a wonderful lunch...Thank You, Jeannette S....Thank You Marni, and Lisa and a special Thanks to AnnMarie, for had I not met you, I'd still be sitting home alone...TY
If I could pick no stars I would. Do not bring your loved one to this facility. It is horrible. The administration is rude and obnoxious. They do not answer questions, will not advocate for your loved one if needed and get angry when you call you them out on issues. The staff is indifferent to the patients. They drug them up and leave them all sitting in one room. The floors are chaotic. They leave patients, carts, wheelchairs nursing carts etc in the hallways and the atmosphere is anything but what a patient would need to rest. The food is awful. The bathrooms are filthy. If you do ask questions they just keep passing you on to another person. They do not listen to family input. Your loved one will wither away. The activities are a joke. The social services director is a horror. I find it hard to believe this person has any credentials at all. It is awful. My Mom went in physically strong, but had dementia. They have no clue as to handle demential patients. The do not know what to do.. Trust me I went in with high hopes so this is not just some frivolous gripe. They neglected her for weeks on end after I told them I suspected she had UTI. They ignored request after request to check her. Do not put your loved one in this place. You will feel so guilty after you see how they treat people. Do do it. I finally had to have an ambulance summoned to the facility to take her out. She died. DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY There are a few nice people working there, but the care is awful. The nurses were caring but unskilled. I once found some of my Moms pills on the floor under her bed; once she was giving her the wrong pills. They did not fill an order that my Mom's physician had requested. They only want the patients drugged so that they do not have to do anything... Save yourself a lot of agony and grief -- stay far, far away.
