I've been a loyal customer of John's for several years, spending hundreds of dollars on parts for my project cars. Recently I purchased an engine from him but it turned out to not to fit due to a design change mid-model year. We agreed on returning it but when I arrived he treated me like total dogs**t saying I should have known what I was getting, that it was my fault and he shouldn't take it back. He ended up taking the engine plus $50 for his 'trouble'. I was taken aback after him sounding friendly on the phone the whole time, and several years of doing business. The attitude was completely un-called for, and I also think the $50 charge was a bit steep considering the circumstances. Needless to say, John has lost a pretty valuable customer in me as I will never deal with him again.
